A tourist has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a crocodile while trying to take a selfie with the giant reptile. French tourist Benetulier Lesuffleur tripped over next to the beast while trying to get a photo with it.
The 46 year old had been visiting Kho Yai National Park in central Thailand along with her husband when she spotted the reptile. The couple took no notice of warning signs, instead deciding to leave the trail to try to get a good photo.
According to the national parks boss Kanchit Srinoppawan, the couple put themselves in danger, all in the name of a selfie. Photographs show the woman being dragged from the waters edge, and a bandage being put on her leg.
Officials say that she squatted down close to the crocodile to have her photo taken. But, as she was getting up again, she fell to one side and the crocodile snapped at her left leg.
Injuries
She is now being treated in Apai Phubet Hospital for her injuries. They are not described as life threatening and she is expected to make a full recovery. The pair had been visiting the popular national park, which is a haven for wildlife, covering a vast area of forest and grassland in central Thailand.
There are signs dotted around the park, which warn Beware of crocodile and No swimming.
This latest incident follows a crocodile attack in Zimbabwe in November, in which a couple swimming in a hotel swimming pool were attacked. The man and woman had been having a late night swim when the reptile crawled into the water, heading in their direction. While the man leaps to safety, the woman does not escape so easily and is forced to try to fend it off before she eventually gets out of the pool, leaving the crocodile in there.
If the young lady is stumped, I have a good recommendation for a New Year’s resolution.
The price of Narcissistic Personality Disorder is quite high
Crocs been eating frogs since day1.
Sounds like a croc of crap to me.
I think that proof that even idiots can operate cell phones.
It’s amazing how many people get injured taking selfies.
Now, let me correct it.
Tourist Obamite/clintonite party of the Imbeciles idiot is bitten by crocodile as she tried to take a SELFIE
There, that's better.
That’s way more worser than a moose. Even without the cheese.

Yep.
Extremely lucky she wasn’t pulled under and eventually eaten by the croc.
They sometimes leave their victims half alive to die in agony in the swamp. Then the croc returns to feast on the aged flesh
As a friend of mine likes to say, stupid should hurt.

I was rooting for the croc. I thought Darwin’s concept was supposed to get rid of the weaker and stupid species?
A guy I used to hunt with worked at one of the big National parks (I forget which) one summer.
A guy comes in all torn up and said he had been attacked by a bear. He was interviewed as they got a posse ready to go kill the bear.
Come to find out, he and his wife were driving along and saw the bear on the side of the road and he hops out and goes over and puts his arm around the bear while his wife takes pictures.
Not content with that, he cherries up the end of his cigarette and extinguishes it on the end of the bears nose. The bear back-fisted him some distance.
He was charged with “harassing wildlife” or something since they didn’t have a “being a moron” charge.
Too bad she’s not a young babe, cuz that would be an impressive lickable scar!
We live in such a safe world most people have no idea that there is such a thing as danger. This stupidity is aided by countless movies depicting animals as humans with four feet.
When I was young I attended a picnic on somebody’s land where there was a pond. A huge German Sheppard ran up to the water’s edge and barked continuously. The dog weighed probably what I weighed at the time, seventy pounds. Suddenly an alligator whipped out of the water and in less than a second the dog was gone, dragged under the water and killed. That was my first experience with an alligator. I realized instantly that the alligator could have done the same to me and there was nothing to stop him if I was too close. I learned a healthy respect for nature and realized if you get too close to some animals they will remind you that you are just potential food.
Distant relatives of Timothy Treadwell. There are a lot of them out there.
With you 100% on that post.
The Croc decided she was to stupid to eat.
