Journalists have condemned a report by Breitbart news that claimed a mob of 1,000 men had attacked police and set fire to a church, calling the article a distortion of facts.
Breitbart wrote an article about New Year's Eve in Dortmund on Tuesday with the headline "Revealed: 1,000-man mob attack police, set Germany's oldest church alight on New Year's Eve".
"At New Year's Eve celebrations in Dortmund a mob of more than 1,000 men chanted 'Allahu Akhbar', launched fireworks at police, and set fire to a historic church," the alt-right website reported.
The report was attributed to local news site Ruhr Nachrichten, which fired back on Wednesday, accusing Breitbart of "using our online reports for fake news, hate and propaganda."

So Breitbart is an alt-right website? Tells me all I need to know about the asshat site reporting this “news”.
Well this won’t be a popular opinion, but I think Breitbart sensationalized this particular headline from the research I’ve done.

Long story short: The Breitbart story was true overall, nit picking minor details notwithstanding.
So it was the SECOND oldest church the Muslim scumbags set fire to — “a minor fire” — after they “shot fireworks at the police”. Is that how normal Germans “celebrate”? By attacking police with fireworks? These idiots are headed for a new Nazi regime, except this time with Muslims playing Nazis, regular Germans playing the Jews in camps, and it may actually last 1,000 years.

So the old church was not the oldest, and it was the netting on scaffolding, not the roof. That changes the whole story. Breitbart are such fakers.

Exactly. News organizations do it all the time.
And the fire was only in the netting in scaffolding connected the church, not the church roof.
And the police said they did not have evidence that the fire was set intentionally....
