Fox’s choice of conservative stalwart Tucker Carlson to replace trend-bucking news star Megyn Kelly is a telling pick — a rightward shift back to what the channel’s viewers are used to.
When I called up Al Tompkins yesterday at the Poynter Institute, a journalism think tank in Florida, he quipped: “Sure is a lot of white guys in the evening, huh?”

I personally don’t like this move.
I don’t have cable or satellite. I’m able to catch most of Tucker’s show on my drive home from work, listening on XM radio in the truck.

Taking backwards steps against the value system of a progressive is an improvement.
I showed the article to a female friend. Her immediate reaction was “Still upset the prettier girls got dates in high school.” Whatever, the article does sound as if it was written by a college journalist trying to get in favor with the femme crowd.
As a once long time viewer, I had abandoned Fox completely after Greta left. It was the only show I watched anymore.
Tucker brought me back and I am glad he got the 9 p.m. slot.
The fact that it ticks off the leftists is just icing on the cake.
