BI was probably THE ultimate sound of the 80s.

I can’t STAND that sound, but he was the best example of that singing through the nose so popular at the time.

My favorite Billy Idol song. It brings back memories of breaks between innings at Wrigley Field back in Ryne Sandberg’s heyday.

Good song and I had to look if he’s still alive. He is, and he did a Christmas album 10 years ago, too.

When I first misheard the lyrics, I thought he was saying “How’s about a date?”.

I had a few Billy Idol albums back in the day. I think I still have one on CD.

There would always be one song on the album that would be a departure from the others and they left an impression on me to this day. Very down-tempo with haunting lyrics. The two I remember were “Sweet Sixteen” and “Endless Sleep.”

I always thought he was the best host of the Oscar Award ceremonies at the time, too.

I'll betcha this guy has ________ more women than Wilt Chamberlain. I saw him at a Siouxsie and the Banshees concert once and he had an entourage of about 20 women with him.

BI had a fair pile of really great tunes; I think he’s one of the better “acts” (and it was more of an act then) of the 80’s.

An interesting fact about this song is that the title is inspired by the classic French film, “Les Yeux Sans Visage” (Eyes Without a Face). Perri Lister even sings the French translation in the chorus.

I love the song & the movie.
