Immigration, particularly from Muslim countries, has dominated headlines and presidential debates recently, and not without cause. Civil wars in the Middle East, mass migration, declining birth rates among ethnic Europeans, and radical Islamic terrorism have contributed to deep tensions globally and within our country between those who believe our obligation is to protect our country, culture, and families from the cancerous force of radical Islam, and those who believe our obligation is to aid those fleeing persecution from radical Islamic groups, like ISIS. The US church has a unique opportunity to offer a different way forward, to advocate for compassionate and wise aid for refugees in a way that blesses both them and their new community.

"Take, for example, The National Review, which ran a story claiming that Muslims are unassimilable into western society and that the immigration is really just part of a larger plan of conquest with rape jihad as a major strategy to overtake the West. Countless other, smaller online publications have likewise promoted this angle, arguing that fundamentally, Muslims cannot coexist with civilized western culture. According to them, Muslims will outbreed us, use political correctness to silence critics, use terrorist attacks to kill infidels, institute Sharia law in our court system, rape our women until they submit to Sharia law, mooch off of our entitlement programs, lie about Islam or anything else in order to seduce us into accepting them, insist that they are entitled to special treatment because of their religion, infiltrate and undermine every level of our government and military, and in general cause the destruction of the western civilization as we know it.
If you think Im exaggerating, let me encourage you to read more widely. Find someone who supports Donald Trump. Read those articles your uncle keeps forwarding to you. These views are not held by fringe extremists in the US; rather, these are relatively common beliefs shared by many Americans, even evangelical Americans, about our neighbors.
Although these views are as vile as they are ignorant, one extreme does not justify the other, and denouncing Islamophobia of our neighbors does not excuse us from thinking wisely about what good immigration policies should look likepolicies that bless both the refugees and the communities they move to."
Team up with Russia (white Christian heterosexual nation) and create SAFE ZONES in the Middle East.
Then REPATRIATE all Muslims who aren’t citizens or who are willing to move back to the Middle East. Give them incentives to leave Europe and the U.S.
That way we can continue to practice Christianity into the next 100-200 years in Europe.
Otherwise, we’ll either be rounded up and murdered with our granddaughters sold into sex slavery, convert to Islam, or in civil wars for decades.
Better to take action NOW to stop civil war.
REPATRIATE all Muslims to their natural homelands.
We are to be wise as serpents.
Fortunately we have a genius Christian in the White House acting to save all of us — even the moron leftists who would commit western suicide.

There is only one Koran.
There is no moderate Koran that does not call for the killing, conversion and subjugation of everyone else on earth.
Another article mixing and matching refugees with visitors. This way they get to cherry pick the facts and spin them to the most sympathetic cause.
When the moderate muslims start embracing our constitution over Sharia law AND working to get the extremists out of their mosques then we can let them move/visit here.
Refugees should be maintained in their home country or somewhere else in the middle east.
“Immigration, particularly from Muslim countries..” Something’s missing.
But not all muslim countries. There.
My thought is that it’s fallacious reasoning.
The stay is temporary. The goal is better vetting because the current administration doesn’t trust how the prior handled it.
If the reason for the stay was because of articles of the character mentioned, it’d be a permanent ban, not a stay.
The author should stop reading fake news.
Some time back I put together what I believe is an exhaustive document of all Bible verses touching on the topic of Christian treatment of the immigrant.
This document does not attempt to answer the question. It simply provides all the relevant Biblical text, without comment, and therefore does NOT provide non-existing text on aspects of the issue which the Bible does not address. (Does that make sense? The Bible does not exhaustively address every personal behavior issue, much less every public policy issue.)
This is a very nuanced issue. For example, does the Bible's text touching on immigration address the issue of the state's foreign policy and immigration practices? Where that state has a large public service sector and welfare state? Where that state has at least one major political party which openly markets itself to foreigners, extending an offer to both public support and the voting franchise? And does the Bible address mechanisms to distinguish the innocuous traveler from the mischievious? And the class of immigrants which hold a political ideology which is hostile to both principles of individual liberty and Christian religion?
What Does the Bible Actually Say About How Christians are to Treat the Foreign, Alien Immigrant?

This is all factual and is based on their “holy” book’s instructions from their “prophet”.
Immigration must serve the purposes of the Republic and its Citizens. The welfare of the immigrants is irrelevant.
We have no frontiers needing population.
We have no industry crying out for unskilled and semi-skilled labor.
These people do not have any special talents, education, or training with them.
They bring no capital with them.
We simply do not need them, and there is no reason to incur the risks of admitting them to the USA.
Thank you, that's pretty much what I was thinking myself but his comment "these views are as vile as they are ignorant" had me second guessing myself. I find it very disheartening that so many "christian" authors and publications are leaning so far left these days :(
I stopped reading Christianity Today about a year ago. It was clear they had drunk the left wing kool-aid. CT must be run by a bunch of 50s and 60s beatniks. I would take religious advice from the National Review before CT any day.
The idea that Muslims can take over the way National Review described should be apparent to any Christian informed about Islamic and Christian history. It is not a fringe idea. Islam spread from Medina and Mecca faster than a German blitzkrieg. Does CT think that was done by voluntary conversion?
So, is Mr Noble going to make sure Christian Syrians are given equal refuge? Christian Iraqis? Yazidi Refugees?
I doubt he’d risk some leftist calling him a Nazi. He might get his feelings hurt.
So is the author denouncing Islam as vile?!? Oh, no... just the detached observation of what their Holy Book instructs and how they behave across the globe is vile. They, and their actions, are not vile. My bad.
