Days after leaving the hospital for treatment of pneumonia, it was announced that former President George H. W. Bush and his wife Barbara will be at Super Bowl 51 this Sunday to perform the ceremonial coin toss.

The game is taking place in the Bushes hometown of Houston and Mrs. Bush referenced the need for them both to be at the championship contest when both were laid up in the hospital. (Barbara Bush was treated for bronchitis while her husband was in intensive care for his illness.)

The ex-POTUS and First Lady are both in their 90s and there was quite a bit of concern when they were hospitalized, so this news was understandably greeted with joy on social media.

How many more times do we have to say - we don’t want any more Bush’s.

I don’t want to see or hear from them again. They are traitors

This may be the Super Bowl’s way of extending an Olive Branch to the conservatives. They may be ready to admit chasing off viewers with their hard progressive bias. Too bad the Olive Branch had to be based on a Globalist, but it’s a beginning, right? Now, if somebody could just do a little tinkering with that new Budweiser commercial that lectures us about Immigration.

Patriots vs. Falcons, so no Colin Kaepernick.

I'm a little surprised, I would have thought they'd have moved heaven and earth for him to be there. He seems to be the NFL's favorite player.

Nope, a poke in the eye.

Seriously doubt it’s an olive branch to conservatives...

Bush is a Texan, SB is in Houston...

No brainer...

Goodell isn’t that smart...

Gaga surprised me last year, when she sang at the Super Bowl and played it ‘straight’. No antics, no outlandish costumes, no being carried onto the stage in a giant Teacup.
I think her time touring with Tony Bennett allowed her to mature as an adult entertainer with greater confidence. Not to say she has dropped all her crazy ways, (filmed crying after Trump Election results were in) but she can tone it down when she wants to.

Glad he can do this. Yeah, I’m bothered by failing to support Trump, and etc. But I also respect his service to our country, and his time as VP and President.
