The teens who left their baby in this dumpster will serve one-year supervised probation.
A judge sentenced 16-year-old Casside Cherry and 18-year-old Trevon Elmore on Thursday.
The teens went to trial as adults, because they faced an attempted murder charge. The jury dropped that charge and found them guilty of only class d felonies, so the judge sentenced them as juveniles. That means he couldn't give them more than 90 days in jail.
They already served that amount of time. Both sides debated over this for most of Thursday's hearing. Prosecutor Carrie Ovey-Wiggins pushed for 90 days for each charge, but Judge Craig Clymer didn't agree that fit the law.

Had they been white there would have been jail time. Am starting to see Tommy Sotomayor's point, they really want black women to do this! They have released them on the streets to do this again. I promise you this chick will be pregnant again in no time soon. I don't have to send this to Tommy Sotomayor to ask his opinion, he's educated me enough that I can venture my own.
A BT-1100 and ED-209 tried to kill their baby and the justice system set them out on the streets to do it again!!

She was found not guilty. They pushed that case too fast and under pressure. They should have waited until they had the “smoking gun” in evidence, even if that skank was an old woman. No time limits on murder. Now that poor excuse of a mom could get up and say “I did it” and there is not a thing we could do.
Animals take care of their young. Humans, apparently not.

Privileged classes. Plus one is female so that’s 2 for her.
She was found not guilty. They were found guilty, but were sentenced to probation. Casey Anthony would not have received probation.
The kids were found guilty of only class d felonies.
Casey Anthony could have and I say could have been found guilty of murder had the American public realize that the justice system does not work like an episode of CSI and the crime is not always solved by the third commercial brake.
