Student demands for censorship get a lot of coverage. Spiked Online’s Free Speech University Rankings, now in its third annual edition, argues that there is a “crisis of free speech on campus”.
By analysing the censorious policies and actions that have taken place on British campuses, Spiked concluded that 63.5 per cent of universities actively censor speech and 30.5 per cent stifle speech through excessive regulation. You can barely go a few days without encountering a new op-ed covering censorship on campus.
Maajid Nawaz describes the students demanding censorship as members of the “regressive left”. Milo Yiannopoulos calls them “snowflakes”.
With all of this book-burning and platform-denying madness sweeping up much of the media’s interest in campus culture, the gradual rise of another group of students has gone under-reported. British and American millennials and post-millennials – also known as ‘Gen Z’ – are warming to conservatism.

When were liberals tolerant about anything?
Liberals and muslims have the same tactics... When they are in a vast minority on an issue, such as gay marriage or sharia law, they preach tolerance for themselves. When they gain numbers and strength, all of a sudden, tolerance goes out the window and mandatory compliance takes over.
Or at least have a common enemy. If you were to present Islamic beliefs and sharia law as the ideology of a fundamentalist Christian sect the leftists would be looking at how to destroy it. But Islam gets a pass or even praise for their unequal rights for women, gays, religious minorities or just about anyone not in their gang just because they are also enemies of Western civilization.
the best thing to happen to educate kids about what liberalism is about was Michael Obama butting into the school system food program ...her food nazie theology made the food program unworkable and in some cases just grouse. in a race to get approval for being even more hip liberals stopped a lot of the fun things like a parent bringing cupcakes to school or a teacher rewarding there kids for good behavior with a piece of candy. this is not a loss on kids noticing what is happening and a good percentage of children will rebel.
Of course my granddaughter is a Christian conservative. She texted me on election day with a Selfie of herself proudly sporting her "I voted" sticker with the caption "TRUMP!" A first election vote that made me very proud.
