OMG, Is this really the kind of society we want? Because this is what we get when people who are hell-bent on being politically correct all the time get their way. Blame them. Because they deserve the blame.

In the aftermath of the radical Islamo-Communist terror bombing of Boston, and a subsequent spate of near misses and evacuations across the country, it is appropriate to look back and consider the measures that were taken in similar circumstances in 1919 by A. Mitchell Palmer, the liberal Democratic Quaker Pacifist Attorney General who served in the liberal Democratic administration of President Woodrow Wilson. Following the 1917 Bolshevik coup in Russia, pro-Soviet anarchists launched a campaign of bombing and assassination against American officials, judges, and prominent citizens. On August 20, 1918, Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin issued a fatwa against the United...

I was just read about life in North Korea. I found the Following interesting...do You? Parents who send their kids to schools are expected to provide desks, chairs, building materials and cash to pay for heating fuel. Some students are put to work producing goods for the government or gathering up discarded materials. Parents can bribe teachers to exempt their kids from labor or just keep them away from school And this is OBAMACare is action! North Korea has a "free" medical system, but hospital patients must pay for their own drugs, cover the cost of heat, and prepare all...

The Communist Party USA and the Democratic Socialists of America don’t see what the big deal is when it comes to MSNBC Host’s Melissa Harris-Perry’s latest 30-second spot advocating for society to move beyond its “private idea” of kids belonging to parents and families and to the notion that they belong to “whole communities.”

One story has dominated the economic news this past weekend. The story is that job creation has slowed to a “trickle,” in the words of a Wall Street Journal headline. Only 88,000 new jobs were created in the month of March. That feeble rate was accompanied by the “good” news that the jobless rate, which only counts those actively seeking work as unemployed, had dropped from 7.7 to 7.6 percent. The real news was that the decline in the unemployment rate was explained by the separation of nearly half a million people from the workforce, so that labor-force participation shrunk...

Sweden really is annoying. We've made both Germany and Russia look like fools on battle fields. We haven't experienced war for two centuries by now, but we're prepared for the next one. We once were poor, but today, we enjoy a standard of living that clearly is better than that of the average American or any other country on Earth for that sake. Few Americans could afford a car like the Volvo V70 (best selling car in Sweden) and only a small percentage of the American population own second homes (very common in Sweden). Furthermore, my Sweden is more technologically...

Scenes are altered in James Bond's Skyfall to make the film acceptable for Chinese authorites.according to reports, some of its scenes have been censored and altered to make it acceptable to the Chinese authorities. One scene that has been been completely culled takes place in Shanghai, when a French hitman (played by Ola Rapace) is shown shooting a Chinese security guard in the elevator lobby of a skyscraper before preparing for an assassination. In another scene, filmed in a casino in the Chinese territory of Macau, Daniel Craig’s Bond is talking to a hostess, Severine (Berenice Marlohe), about whether her...

According to the Communist Party USA, “the struggle for immigrant rights is a key component of the struggle for working class unity in our country today”. The Communists believe that the months ahead provide a great opportunity to extract big immigration changes from the Party’s “friend” Barack Obama. The coming months are crucial. This is a call for all progressive forces to become fully engaged at every level…The overwhelming Latino vote for President Obama has pushed the need for legislation forward, but there is a hard fight still ahead. As Congress begins to draft legislation, immigrant rights groups and the...

Just last year, Bob Casey ran for re-election as a pro-marriage senator. Now, the Catholic senator from Pennsylvania, has "evolved" on the issue and is now in line with his party by declaring he's pro-gay marriage . Wonder if this has anything to do with recent polls shifting towards gay marriage. This is hardly stunning coming from Casey who swore all over the state that he was a devout Catholic and pro-life like his father, the late Governor Bob Casey. The "pro-life" Casey has repeatedly betrayed the unborn both with his vote for Obamacare and repeated votes to fund Planned...

Google’s decision to mark Easter Sunday with a doodle of leftist icon Cesar Chavez atop its search engine angered some users in what they see as a snub of Jesus on the day Christians mark his resurrection. However, Google executives offered quick apologies for the snub, issuing this statement: "We at Google honor Easter and are mortified that our Doodle of Chavez in any way upstaged this Holy Christian Holiday. We are reviewing the way Google Doodles are chosen on a go-forward basis." The statement appeared to appease some high-profile Christian figures. "I'm not much of a fan of Google,"...

Rather than Easter, Google's doodle today commemorates farm labor leader Cesar Chavez's birthday. That's brought much criticism, although Chavez himself was a devout Christian. Google is taking heat for its Easter Sunday doodle – that cartoon modification of its logo that changes from day to day. Today, the middle letter is a round portrait of the late migrant farm labor union leader Cesar Chavez. Like many such doodles, it comes on the birthday of the subject. Mr. Chavez was born March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona. But appearing on Easter – one of the holiest days for hundreds of millions...

Google vs Bing on Easter By Matthew Yglesias March 31, 2013 [Check URL] Conservatives' longstanding complaints about Google's choice of "Google doodles" are only going to be reenforced by today's decision to commemorate Easter as the birthday of Latino labor leader Cesar Chavez. Google's main competition in the search field, Microsoft's Bing, offers a more Easter-themed graphic for today but one that highlights the secular traditions that have grown up around the holiday rather than its religious themes: But for those seeking a little more Jesus with their Easter, here's a portion of Rafael's "Resurrection of Christ": The doodles are,...

March 31 marks the birthday of National Farm Workers Association (later United Farm Workers) co-founder Cesar Chavez. Chavez, who was trained by Saul Alinsky in the tactics of community organizing, has become a cult figure in California due to his organization of agricultural workers. March 31 also happens to be another important date this year: Easter. So, naturally, Google’s current logo features a graphic of Chavez’s face, rather than anything having to do with Easter.
-
Google is famous for catering their home page to that day's major holiday or event. Google's home page has celebrated other religious holidays while failing to celebrate Christian holidays in the past. Well, what's today's most noteworthy event? According to Google, it's labor leader Cesar Chavez's 86th Birthday.

A new proposal would require New York City retailers to keep tobacco products out of sight under a first-in-the-nation proposal aimed at reducing the youth smoking rate, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday. The legislation would require stores to keep tobacco products in cabinets, drawers, under the counter, behind a curtain or in other concealed spots. They could only be visible when an adult is making a purchase or during restocking. "Such displays suggest that smoking is a normal activity," Bloomberg said. "And they invite young people to experiment with tobacco."

Yang Jisheng’s book, Tombstone, is an expose of the worst period of Mao Zedong’s totalitarian regime, when the Great Leap Forward was at its peak and humanity at its nadir. A totalitarian system still exists in China The transition of leadership in People’s Republic of China, the crackdown on corruption in high places and the move to downsize Government there have led to gushing editorials and commentaries in the media here. Experts have been advising India to take tips from Beijing on how to govern and tackle contentious issues effectively. There may be some lessons in much of what is...

It turns out Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was correct when he claimed Harvard Law School had significant numbers of what might reasonably be called "communists." Anyone who knows the Ivy League knows the question shouldn't be, Who at Harvard is Marxist? but Who at Harvard isn't Marxist? Cruz, a U.S. senator for almost two months now, made the offending statement in a speech almost three years ago. He described Barack Obama as "the most radical" president "ever to occupy the Oval Office." Obama "would have made a perfect president of Harvard Law School" because "there were fewer declared Republicans in...

When Cuban President Raul Castro named former engineering professor and long-time Communist Party insider Miguel Diaz-Canel as his first vice president and potential successor on Sunday, he chose managerial skills over flair. He was appointed first vice president on Sunday at a meeting of the National Assembly where Castro also announced he would step down in 2018 at the end of his second five-year term as president. Diaz-Canel would step into the presidency if...

Ken Shepherd's picture In a 41-paragraph front-pager today, the Washington Post's William Wan looks at how the "New pope will be challenged by strained ties with China." "A reset is possible as both sides introduce new leadership," added a subheadline. The website version had a wildly different headline, "For China's Catholics, new pope brings hope." Throughout his article, Wan used language that suggested that the Vatican and the Communist Chinese dictatorship were on the same moral plane (emphases mine): BEIJING — Of the long list of problems the next pope will inherit once the white smoke rises in Rome, few...

The data doesn’t support Obama’s proposal, but his party won’t waver in its commitment to the mythology of left-wing class struggle. Real median household income in the United States has fallen more than 8 percent since Barack Obama was first sworn in as president, and has even fallen during the course of the Obama “recovery.” That, of course, is the fault of George W. Bush, John Boehner, rich people, and ATM machines. Fortunately, President Obama and his economic advisors have come up with a solution to this problem: force businesses to pay their employees more. The president talks a lot...

This section of DiscoverTheNetworks examines activists for leftwing agendas and causes -- egalitarians, socialists, and opponents of American "imperialism." Since the distintegration of the world Communist movement following the publication of the Khrushchev Report in 1956, the international left has not had a coherent unifying agenda. Its organizing basis is a commitment to egalitarian goals and social constructionist assumptions on the one hand, and -- in its radical wing -- a nihilistic opposition to global capitalism, now referred to as "globalization" on the other. These radicals reject the orders and alleged "hierarchies" of western democratic capitalism, and regard America as...

Ted Turner was transformed from a staunch conservative into a bleeding-heart liberal by none other than one-time wife Jane Fonda, according to the media mogul’s outspoken son. But when the senior Turner moved to the left and then expressed an interest in running for president, Fonda deep-sixed the idea by saying she’d dump him, Teddy Turner told Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show.” “I was raised in a different time at the Turner household … a very conservative household with capitalism and all of that kind of stuff,” Turner said. …

This section of DiscoverTheNetworks examines the immensely wealthy charitable foundations that provide financial backing for leftist groups and causes. These foundations -- sometimes called endowments or charitable trusts -- are nongovernmental, nonprofit entities whose assets are provided by donors and managed by their (the foundations') own officials, who earmark portions of their assets each year for what they consider to be socially useful purposes. Most of these foundations can be classified under the following categories: Community Foundations, which build their endowments through contributions from many donors within a given geographic region, and typically focus on local needs Corporate Foundations, which are private foundations established by for-profit corporations but legally separate from the parent corporations

Family Foundations, in which the original donor or the donor's family plays a significant role in governing the foundation

Independent Foundations, which are private foundations, usually endowed by one source such as an individual's bequest

Operating Foundations, which are private foundations that use most of their income to provide charitable services or programs of their own, rather than making grants to outside organizations

Public Foundations, which are public charities that operate significant grantmaking programs The DiscoverTheNetworks database currently identifies and profiles more than 125 major foundations whose political and philanthropic orientations are generally leftist, and whose combined assets exceed $100 billion. Some of the foundations described in this section are so large that they have single-handedly shaped entire cultural and political movements. (See, for example, the Ford Foundation's role in underwriting The Open Borders Lobby.

In writing “Stalin’s Secret Agents: The Subversion of Roosevelt’s Government”, authors M. Stanton Evans and Herbert Romerstein have produced a highly informative volume that will enlighten not only relative newcomers to the field of Communist subversion but scholars as well. What they learn will be utterly sobering. Soviet loyalists, with enormous influence over policy, are revealed to have been far more deeply entrenched than ever previously acknowledged. More surprising, these agents had alarmingly easy access to the Oval Office.
