Could someone give a brief, cogent synopsis of what did and/or didn't happen so that those of us who have only faint interest in this kind of uh... stuff... can know what happened last nite at the oscars?
'Cause we didn't watch. There are lots of us, but we wouldn't want to be misconstrued as really GAF about it.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty were given the wrong envelope to announce the Best Picture Oscar. The one they were given said La La Land (which was a real crowd pleaser kind of film from what I’ve read). The REAL winner was Moonlight (which is a film about black homosexual growing up in the hood to be concise). So Bonnie and Clyde announce the wrong movie, wrong people came up to the stage I guess, had to return oscar awards perhaps, etc. A real mess. Could not have happened to a more deserving award show!
