Well, that’s why I like you. I’m no paragon of virtue as most people here know, and I am way too small to intervene but I’d be on the horn in a second to report this hideous crime. There’s very little gospel being practiced with any kind of real guts. I’ve looked and looked for it and concluded that if I want to see that gospel borne into the world... I’ve got to step up and start bearing it myself.

In our out of polite society, life has a strong tendency to end with death. If there is some positive meaning in life, there has to be more to the story. And can we really see the whole story with someone who is outside polite society? Can we really know what struggles they have inside that we don't face but God knows of?

It’s possible that the nanny society (rightists can go nanny too) tried too hard to breach the closet compromise (also implicit in the Old Testament paradigm where fornication crimes required 2 witnesses in order to be punished). That led to a bad court precedent that outlawed all regulations on such conduct. The law in its robotic quest for equality deemed the whole bloomin’ USA to be tantamount to the closet.
Anyhow now we have a moral issue on our hands that only God can contain.
We cannot know what the struggles of this person are. I’m not judging. I am saying that meth addicted prostitutes are more likely to end up beaten to death than law abiding accountants. A tranny in Brazil is quite possibly a prostitute (they are known for that, as is Thailand) so the risk profile goes up. If drugs are involved, it goes up more. That’s all I’m saying.

What you’re saying is probably close to the truth. Of course, most of us took the Daily Fail at face value - well, I did - that the victim was solely set upon because of his “sex change.” There could be a lot more to the story. But nothing excuses violence like this.
WHen you hear about horrors like this (nobody deserves to be beaten for what they choose to do to themselves, no matter what you think about what they are doing), you realize how insane the left is in this country. The little snowflakes think that being asked to use a stall in a bathroom that matches their biology is traumatizing. No, being beaten to death is traumatizing.
The entire scene may produce pressures to reconsider the old fashioned ideas of family, not even because it’s Christian cool, but because the consequences of doing otherwise have become quite obvious. And this is where a movement of the Spirit can help, as the bible says “turning the hearts of the parents to the children” and vice versa.

This is wrong. That was a person, most likely posing no direct threat to these ‘men’.
These young men show their insecurity and ignorance, feeling the need to torture and destroy people different than they claim to be. This happens in the states too, but via some lower class black youth, and the unmistakable intolerance they show toward anyone different than they are.
Brazil is a huge country that acts like a small tribe on an island when it comes to certain issues. Issues like Soccer Games, National Elections and sexual minorities.
This was a person born male who has been taking hormones so now has feminine features and identifies as female.
Nothing in the article suggests pushing an agenda, and it sounds like in Brazil you wouldn’t want to.
not to be judgmental, but I wonder if one of the “males” in this group saw this person, was attracted to her, asked her out, and then found out she was a biological male, and rather than just be embarrased decided death was the right solution to prove how ‘macho’ he was.
But this also chides those of the right who have no empathy either, as abundantly has displayed in this very discussion.
The strength to walk the road between Scylla and Charybdis is needed.
