CNN ^ | March 8, 2017 | Monica Ainley and Fiona Sinclair Scott

Modest dressing is a global cultural movement on the rise. A search of the word modest on Instagram opens a treasure trove of evidence. Sensitive layering, long silhouettes, raised necklines -- so far, over half a million people have hashtagged the term modest fashion below their photos, and multiple spin-offs (modest dressing, modesty movement, modest style) are widely in use.

The article claims this trend has nothing to do with Islam but then everyone quoted in the article is Muslim. I am no fashionista but I did notice many Western women demanding more modest fashionable choices and those fell on deaf ears for years. But NY and Paris are falling over themselves for Muslims demanding fashionable burkas.

The fashions are ugly. If that is what empty headed fashionistas want to look like, go for it

Christian women have been asking for more modest clothing and there has been an increase of retailers targeting Christian women.
Take heart, That stuff on the runway rarely becomes ready to wear.

Current fashions are coyote ugly and only fit for street walkers. Any modest woman over 30 won’t wear the crap. Seniors won’t either, and you can keep Alfred Dunner crap.

No Church clothes. Which leaves us with T’s and Jeans. No shoes, most women can’t wear more than a pump, not 6 in heels. And the shoes are as coyote ugly as the clothes. Who decided shoes start at size 7. I wear a 5.5 and I’m not looking in the kiddie dept for shoes.

Even toddler clothes are coyote ugly and not fit for proper coverage.

Ugly ugly clothes, look like bags. I wear sheath dresses, short and heels, thin not chunky. Always look professional, always dressed up. Not changing.
