If you cannot type, why can’t you simply tell your device to add the punctuation? For example, in iOS you can say, “Free Republic rocks...exclamation point” and it will print “Free Republic rocks!”

If a device doesn’t do it better than that, I wouldn’t be using it for that purpose. I wouldn’t allow a device to make me appear so uneducated.
