LOL, reminds me of a Far Side cartoon where a ship full of mannequins is sinking, and one of the sharks, after biting a plastic leg, says to the other “Hey! What is this, some kind of cruel hoax?”

You can be severely bitten by a "dead" shark. Fish still have things going on when they appear dead. I got bitten by the (decapitated) head of a trigger fish I was cleaning. The fish head bit me on the palm of my hand close to the thumb.

Trigger fish are totally ugly but they are excellent for broiling or charcoal grilling. They don't crumble apart while grilling.

They grow locally (in the Gulf off Panama City, FL.) to about the size of third base.

Exactly! Learning how to open a beer without a church key was a very important skill I learned in college. Being a smoker at the time and few sharks in Fort Collins, Colorado, I got pretty handy with a Bic lighter. All my lighters were chewed up at the base from opening bottles with them.

Myself, I applaud this young man's application of the USMC mantra, “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.”

I would post the cartoon, but I read a general letter he wrote to his fans, politely asking them not to post his work online.

He did it so politely and gently, knowing full well it was like spitting into the wind, that I couldn’t help but take it to heart.
