My wife reads her hometown paper from Monterrey, Mexico.

The press there is calling this an international embarrassment, and rightly so.

We will probably shrug, be happy he got his jerseys back (and the other stuff as well), and move on.

This will reverberate in Mexico for quite some time.

btw, the thief’s name is Mauricio Ortega — director of La Prensa newspaper.

It is all over the Mexican papers - I don’t know why they are being coy over here.
