Some of you Freepers who are using older Macs are missing out on some of the features that newer Macs can take advantage of with the Continuity abilities built into macOS Sierra. Here is a tutorial on how to add those Continuity abilities to your older Macs and keep on using them for years to come. Enjoy. — PING!

The big question owners of older hardware have to ask themselves, is why? Sometimes it is more work to modify an older setup than to simply upgrade by buying a newer model. Of course, there are some hobbyists like myself who enjoy tinkering with older stuff. My cable provider just went all encrypted digital, which concerned me as I still use my 1997 Mac with built-in analog TV in the living room; no problem as I got a digital/analog descrambler converter for it.

People don't have to buy the latest and greatest models when upgrading, as there are lots of others who spend the big bucks and then sell their old hardware at discount, which may only be a couple years behind. That's what I do, buy used and I've rarely been disappointed.

Swordmaker, thanks. Not trying to take away from your spreading the word on continuation features, in my prior post. It’s good information to me as I have models in that date range that need to have this applied. One is my Mac Mini 2010 Server, which I use daily in conjunction with my iPhone.
