“They made the perfect the enemy of the good,” said Representative Roger Marshall, Republican of Kansas”

said the RINO who defeated a guy with a backbone (Huelskamp) thanks to mega-millions supplied by our good friends the Chamber of Commerce and the ESAFund (Ricketts family).

Huelskamp voted no on too many progressive policies and he was punished for that.

Now what will happen in the future, is dems will try to pin this on Trump because they with the uniparty repub leaders will say this was actually going to make Obamacare better, fix some of the problems.

So by not passing this Trump wanted obamacare to fail.

Even though it never made it to his desk.

They dont care about facts, never have, they will just keep lying and changing position, they care only about umiparty media spouting this and taking down an enemy. Repub leadership which is also uniparty will not argue this point against their democrat uniparty friends.

it is laughable to insist that Freedom Caucus members are #NeverTrumpers while ignoring Ryan’s never-changed opinion of Trump

“(and don’t spin the BS that you are defending freedom or some other war related narrative...it;s getting real old)”

kind of like assuming anybody who disagrees with RINO Ryan or a Trump policy is a #NeverTrumper is really old

Yep. FR is suddenly becoming a little too anti-Trump for me. The ones wailing don’t understand his ninja-type planning, and take everything at face value. There will be a time for pure transparency, but only when the swamp is finally drained.

What we have now is worse. We would know whether they could make the insurance changes they thought after senate. Obamacare is really hurting the core of our voters badly. This was not a good outcome but I hope the freedom caucus and their supporters are right in the long run. I’m not convinced they will be. JMO

The Freedom Caucus are total frauds. If they were so principled, they would have never voted for Ryan as Speaker. They can take their principles and comfort themselves with the fact that Obamacare is still the law of the land and probably will be umtil it implodes. Then pray that the Democrats are not in charge because we will have single payer and single provider. Then you will be complaining about that.

I'm glad that the hypocrisy of the DC swamp dwellers, across the political spectrum, has been laid out there for all to see. First you've got ALL the 'pubs who were in the last congress, Senate and HOR voted for "repeal" when it was a campaign issue and they knew it would be vetoed. THREEE CHEERS to the Freedom Caucus for not trusting them to keep promises in parts 2 and 3. Then you've got the Screeching Maniacs, ie: the HOR dems. Some yelped that things had to be done to fix Obamacare. But not one of them had a suggestion of how to do it.

I suspect most US citizens are disgusted. Fact is, no one was trying to solve any problems.

It was Ryan’s poor bill that did that. If his goal was to repeal and replace Obamacare, a different bill would have been presented. This was a ‘slightly change’ government centered healthcare bill and needed to be killed. Now, come back with a real repeal and free-market replacement.

This is NOT a win!

REPEAL PERIOD, Should have been completed ALREADY!!!

Sad thing is so many here (Free Republic) whom years ago said the Federal Government had No Authority for it to begin with are many of those cheering on the Ryan/Trump bill! (They will play the same game as the DNC, slip it in when they think there is less watching it).

Don’t be a Fool! So many have Willfully believe Trump was going to Repeal Obamacare. But they Payed No Attention!

Wake Up Trump is NOT being Played, He is part of the Players!

Trump is in on Big Government... It just needs to be in his Favor... He NEVER was going to REPEAL Obamacare! Remember when I ask well before Trump was elected and was still running for the GOP, What do you think He is going to do? I ask people to Document what they though he was going to do, what he stood for, Yet No One would record what Trump Stood for or what He was going to do. Its because He has been and always was ALL OVER the Place.

I Say Again the Federal Government HAS to be SLAYED! There is No Fixing it for the Beast is now in Total Control and it will not go away, thus it has to be removed!

Return to God, His Order and a Moral people or continue as Slaves to the Beast and Much Darker Days Ahead!

The Enemy is within and until we deal with that Enemy we will Never be able to Deal with the Enemy’s outside the Nation.

Know this:

Return to God, a Moral people and Christendom! Anything Else if for Not! When you see the reunification of Christians into the One True Faith the Holy and Apostolic Catholic Church the End to the Darkness will be Assured... Until then PRAY for All the Lost Souls!

God Bless

One kid already has no-cost insurance from her employer (a large hospital) and the other is healthy as a horse, soon to be 26 in 3 months, and has a job lined up after she graduates in 4 months as a lawyer. But I an forced to carry her on a ridiculously expensive family plan for 3 more months. If this AHCA would have passed, I was going to cancel the family plan, since I am already covered by Medicare.

Hinderacker's take on what happened: DEMOCRATS’ CELEBRATION IS PREMATURE Pretty much everyone thinks the House’s failure to pass the GOP’s repeal-and-replace bill is a disaster for Republicans. The Democrats are giddy with glee, and Matt Drudge calls it a “catastrophe.” Perhaps they are right, but I doubt it. Minnesota’s own Amy Klobuchar writes on Facebook:

So now what? Are we just going to walk away, as the White House suggested? Or are we going to work together to bring healthcare costs down? There’s so much we can do – reduce prescription drug costs, help out people on the exchange, reform delivery systems, eliminate the medical device tax and more. We can’t walk away from the American people. Moving beyond healthcare isn’t an option.

Oh, yes, it is. If the Democrats have ideas on reducing prescription drug costs, helping people on the exchange, and so on, where have they been for the last seven years? And since when are Democrats interested in “working together”? They passed Obamacare with zero input from Republicans and zero Republican votes. When they had an opportunity this week to save Obamacare, not a single House Democrat was willing to vote for it.

Fine. Democrats are stuck with the Obamacare they passed. It won’t be reformed, and it will limp along for the time being. But the day will come, before long, when Obamacare’s collapse is so complete and so manifest that repeal will be revisited. In the meantime, I see no reason why Republicans should take the hit for the Democrats’ disastrous overreach.

Is that too optimistic a view of the situation? Maybe. But that is how it looks to me.

I believe it is more than just the democrats it is what some now refer to as the ,uniparty, of establishment politicians, republican and democrat alike. These are a collaborating group of politicians who have grown too comfortable with ruling for their own self interests, and knowing they will not be held responsible.

This was ALWAYS the RyanCare Bill. Ryan should have been primaried. We had a great candidate in Paul Nehlen. Paul Ryan inflated himself when he was nominated as VP. Its been steadily downhill since. He's not a team player, and seems much more comfortable with Obama than Trump.

RyanCare was, at best, ObamaCare Lite. It is time for Ryan to go as Speaker of the House. He does not know how to build concensus because his ego is too big. Who ever heard of the "Better Way" in the year leading up to the election? I never heard it used a single time, but right after the innauguration I heard it every time Ryan spoke.

We can only have one theme at a time, and our theme is "Make America Great Again." Ryan evidently didn't get the memo.

I love the HFC! And am in regular contact with my congress critter, who is a founding member. I will contact with my thanks on Monday.

People here on FR are really getting emotional and targeting the wrong group, IMO. This is our best chance EVER to get rid of Paul Ryan. Responsibility for this process fiasco rests entirely on his shoulders, and he knows it. I think he will fire himself, and Trumps fingerprints won’t be on it because he gave him all the rope he could.

I suggest the people who have never actually spoken to one of the HFC members live don’t know what the hell they are talking about. Lots of disinformation today.

The HFC guys put the brakes on lots of bad stuff before it makes it into law. They’ve forced changes in legislation in our favor. By “our,” I mean freedom loving, small government conservatives. For the most part, HFC members are Republican-libertarians. They focus mainly on reducing the power of the fedgov, and work largely behind the scenes. But they are effective, and make no mistake, are beholden to no one, including the Koch brothers.

(Although I reject the premise that having the Koch brother’s backing is some kind of bad thing. That’s moveon.org-type crap)

Before people continue to make fools of themselves, I suggest reading the short wikkipedia article on them for a start:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Caucus

They are the good guys.
