I can see the other residents’ point. Reminds me of the time chef Jamie Oliver refused admittance to Bill Clinton and his Secret Service entourage at one of his restaurants because it would have meant kicking out a lot of people who already had reservations. Government people are not supposed to be aristocrats in America.
And these are nothing but grandees and rent seekers. I would like to see the Washington neighborhoods emptied out.
It may not be a popular view here, but I’m with you.
I fully support President Trump, his family, and his administration, but my test is how would I like it if it were me dealing with this. And how would I like it if it were 0vomit’s family/administration. I wouldn’t like it, but would probably tolerate it for Ivanka. I would be hopping mad if it were someone associated with 0vomit.
That said, it does seem like there is a fair amount of faux outrage and pearl clutching going on, though. “Sometimes, to the residents horror, agents even change their shirts in public.” Seriously? That’s a problem?
They need to stick to the real problem and deal with it. Just disliking the presence of Ivanka is not a problem. What are the real complaints? Lack of parking? Noise? If they were to focus on the real problems instead of on the politics, maybe they could ameliorate them.
