"It's no surprise that someone named Obama vetoed a bill repealing Obamacare. And we will hold a vote to override this veto. Taking this process all the way to the end under the Constitution. But here's the thing, the idea that Obamacare is the law of the land for good is a myth. This law will collapse under its own weight or it will be repealed. Because all those rules and procedures Senate Democrats have used to block us from doing this, that's all history. We have shown now that there is a clear path to repealing Obamacare without sixty votes in the Senate. So next year, if we're sending this bill to a Republican president it will get signed into law. Obamacare will be gone. And then, for all the people who have seen their premiums go up, for people who have lost their plan or their doctor, for people who have to deal with all the mandates, the restrictions and the red tape. We can replace this law with a truly patient centered health care system. It's just a matter of time."

Well. We’re waiting.
Would you look at that. 60 votes not needed.
[[So next year, if we’re sending this bill to a Republican president it will get signed into law.]]
Promises , promises
There is no reason to wait
Get rid of it now
All it does is run up everyone health insurance cost
Trump should sign an executive order getting of the special health insure all congressmen get ad make them enroll into obamacare until they get rid of it.
Note to self
Don’t type when you are sleepy lol
Congressional Record - Jan 7, 2016 - page H109
The SPEAKER pro tempore. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Illinois (Mr. ROSKAM) for 5 minutes.
Mr. ROSKAM [] Now, there is an interesting thing that has been happening, and that is this: The story of ObamaCare is shifting. You ask, well, how is it shifting? It is shifting in this way: It is shifting because we have been told that there is no way to undo this. There is no way. It is basically orthodoxy in our country. It is an entitlement, which it is, and it is so deeply embedded that it is all a fait accompli. In other words, there is no way to undo this.
For a long time, that appeared to bealthough it wasnt true, it appeared to be true because the Senate blocked its passage. Now, as we know, the other body has actually preceded us in this and, through the reconciliation activity, we are now able to avoid the 60-vote threshold. A simple majority of United States Senators can join with a majority of the United States House of Representatives, which I would argue is reflecting a majority of the American public, to say: Get this thing off our backs. Let us flourish. Yeah, we can deal with these things. Yes, health care needs improving, but this thing on our backs is simply smothering us.
So here is the opportunity. This will be on President Obamas desk. Will he veto it? Absolutely. It is the first time it has ever gotten on his desk before. What it says is this: that there is only one office between us and the repeal of ObamaCare. One office is between us and the repeal of ObamaCare, and that office changes next November. So in 11 months, there is every opportunity for us to see its repeal and, ultimately, its replacement.

That 2015 repeal vote was a show vote.
The clear path is Reconciliation, of course.
Suggest folks spend some time with the Constitution. Interesting item. It does not tell the Senate that votes on bills or USSC nominees or executive branch nominees or even lower court judges will be decided by majority vote.
It specifies things like 2/3 for impeachment and treaty approval, but it says nothing about what the Senate should do on other matters.
So . . . the nuclear option on such things is called “constitutional option” to try to change the impact of the words, but truth is . . . the Constitution nowhere tells the Senate that it must approve things by majority vote.
Reconciliation is permitted under Senate rules not requiring any sort of nuclear option.
Anyway, do go look at those Con passages. There’s nothing there about majority votes.
This is the bill that was vetoed.
H.R.3762 114th Congress (2015-2016)
I repeals individual provisions of ACA and amends others.
Rep. Mo Brooks files bill to repeal Obamacare
“Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.”
That’s it - one sentence.

The votes for repeal when Obama was in business were all for show. The GOP never intended the bills to become law.
Dennis prager summed up how I feel this morning.
He was depressed. Depressed that the republicans hold so much power to do so much good and as of right now, it looks like they are going to crap it away. They either don’t know or don’t want to win.
Dennis said it perfectly for me. The only thing we have to stop the left are the republicans and if they aren’t up for it, then indeed, we are doomed.
OF course it was, but those bastiges names are on it. Now I want to see how they explain to their constituents why they won't put their name on the same bill they passed last year.

Ryan is not to be trusted by Trump.
Ryan is one of the go along get along cause we all be making money, a-holes.
That was then, this is now.
Then as now, Ryan doesn’t understand that repeal ACA means repeal all of ACA, not just certain provisions of ACA.
