Crucified man had prior run-in with authorities
Washington Post ^ | April 12, 2017 | Alexandra Petri

Posted on 04/12/2017 2:28:12 PM PDT by miami33

The gentleman arrested Thursday and tried before Pontius Pilate had a troubled background.

Born (possibly out of wedlock?) in a stable, this jobless thirty-something of Middle Eastern origin had had previous run-ins with local authorities for disturbing the peace, and had become increasingly associated with the members of a fringe religious group. He spent the majority of his time in the company of sex workers and criminals.

He had had prior run-ins with local authorities — most notably, an incident of vandalism in a community center when he wrecked the tables of several licensed money-lenders and bird-sellers. He had used violent language, too, claiming that he could destroy a gathering place and rebuild it....

I wonder how Jesus would be thought of if He were alive today.

Actually, this is exactly how the Washington Post would have reported it.

Lol! WaPo atheists now use Christ comparisons. A nice change from their relentless attacks on his followers.

You’d better be careful about comparing Assad to Hitler, but for the left it’s perfectly fine to compare Christ to a common street thug.

NISUS WETTUS: Next. Crucifixion?

PRISONER #1: Yes.

NISUS: Good. Out of the door. Line on the left. One cross each. Next. Crucifixion?

PRISONER #2: Yes.

NISUS: Good. Out of the door. Line on the left. One cross each. Next. Crucifixion?

MR. CHEEKY: Ah, no. Freedom.

JAILER: Hmm?

NISUS: What?

MR. CHEEKY: Eh, freedom for me. They said I hadn’t done anything, so I could go free and live on an island somewhere.

NISUS: Oh. Oh, well, that’s jolly good. Well, off you go, then.

MR. CHEEKY: Naa, I’m only pulling your leg. It’s crucifixion, really.

NISUS: Oh, ho ho.

MR. CHEEKY: Heh heh heh hehh.

NISUS: I see. Uh, very good. Very good. Well, out of the door. One—

MR. CHEEKY: Yeah. I know the way. Out of the door.

NISUS: Line on—

MR. CHEEKY: One cross each. Line on the left.

Were it not for the writer’s obvious bitterness, spite and loathing of Christians (and of Trump, how does he figure into this?) it could almost be an exceptional piece.

It seems you’ve missed the point of the opinion piece.

It’s a commentary on how United Airlines and certain news outlets are doing a smear job on the passenger that UA beat up and put in the hospital.

The writer is showing how even someone as holy as Jesus could be smeared by the authorities. It also makes the point that a person’s previous, unrelated actions should not be brought up to further victimize an innocent person.

Especially when you consider that there’s now evidence that the “sordid details” of this doctor’s life are actually details from the life of another man with a similar name (but different middle name).

Jesus lives, yes, but not as a flesh-and-blood, mortal human being. :)

I guess this is how we are writing up the victims of crimes now. I did not realize that when you boarded a plane you gave away the right to have your past remain your past, but a theme of life these days is that only people who have never done anything wrong, or are in some way related to Donald Trump, deserve to go through their lives unmolested.

Media bias dripping with unrestrained sarcasm.

I think He would be worse off today than He would have been in Roman times.

The Romans basically left people alone if they paid their taxes and behaved. That’s how you maintain an Empire.

Today liberals, progressives or whatever they wish to call themselves would safe space Him to death then finally set a Soros funded mob on Him and beat Him to death.

Jesus lives as a flesh-and-blood immortal human being, that is, a man who died, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead, Who now lives forever, body and soul, and Who is and always was True God, one in being with the Father.

I dare you to say that in one breath.

:o)

Have a Happy Easter.

This is a real article?!?

Dao is NOT A VICTIM.

The stupid social justice leftists are trying to paint this twit as some sort of rosa parks when he is none of those things.

The plane has total control over who flies on its planes with the captain having sole discretion. Dao violently refused to leave the plane when requested making him a threat to the other passengers. The police did nothing wrong in trying to deescalate the situation. This is no more or less the same thing when restaurants or bars have to evict a patron.

That stupid morons like the writer of this piece equate him to Jesus (whom I’m sure the writer knows nothing more about than what she’s seen on the daily show) just goes to show how far our educational system has fallen. She’s a mindless, drooling, sycophant.

I honestly don’t know what to make of this article. It is interesting to see how His life and crucifixion would be reported on today.

But I also feel it’s sacrilegious.

In accordance with this new house style I am writing up an incident whose anniversary some people are celebrating this week.”

Wow, I hadn’t read that little preface before I posted.

Yes, Jesus Christ is somehow on par with the guy dragged out of the UA plane.

And Trump relatives “unmolested” by the media? Please...

Okay, I’ve changed my mind. WaPo should never publish anything about our Lord and Savior, because it will undoubtedly be trash.
