Exactly. There’s plenty more idiots in OR. I doubt they miss him at all when he’s in DC.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) filed the bill during the House’s two-week April recess to empower former presidents and vice presidents of both parties...

No chance of partisanship there (/s). Who could be more objective and concerned with the good of the country than a previous president and vice-president, like Obama and Slow Joe?

When the 25th Amendment was passed, the part about “such other body as Congress may by law provide” kinda snuck through there.

It really lowers the bar for Congress’ ability to remove a President. In fact, Congress can SUSPEND a President for at least 21 days simply by ordering up a kangaroo court and receiving its declaration of unfitness.

Like a lot of post-1900 Constitutional amendments, it’s full of land mines.

Ah, that's going to require amending the Constitution of the United States

Already done, ratified February 1967.

Oregon has become worse than California. There are more idiots per capita then any where else.

This only works back home if your voters are COMPLETE IDIOTS.

So I guess it is a good political move.

“Somewhere in Oregon, a village is missing their idiot............................or perhaps not...................”

I grew up in a small town that literally did have a “village idiot”. Hank hung around the center of town, babbled incoherently, and was generally taken care of by the locals who treated him well. Someone drove him to/from town center daily, and others ensured his basic needs were met. We all liked Hank. He’s missed.

As for the village in Oregon, well, I can see why they don’t.

Doesn’t Earl Blumenauer (Dingbat Oregon), know the procedure already exists in the U.S. Constitution?

Probably not, most democrats have not read the Constitution.

How delusional is this guy. He introduces a bill that has a snowflakes chance in a hot summer in hell of passing and if it did that Trump would veto it.

What they really need is a rule that fools like this should be immediately removed from Congress and put back into the asylum they came from.

Idiotic idea, but he may figure the vote would be 8-3 in favor of removal.

Living ex-Presidents:

3 Democrats (Carter, Clinton, Obama)
2 Republicans (GHW Bush, GW Bush)

Living ex-Vice-Presidents:

3 Democrats (Mondale, Gore, Biden)
2 Republicans (Quayle, Cheney)

Sitting Vice President:

1 Republican (Pence)

So overall 6 Democrats, 5 Republicans, but the two Bushes would vote against Trump.

Actually there are three living Vice Presidents who were Republicans, but I figured that George H. W. Bush only would get one vote.

So long as his bill applies to every member of Congress, I’m for it. Otherwise, we will continue to have a government of the criminal, by the criminals and for the criminals.

If we want less than a dozen people to have the power to overturn the will of the people, don’t we already have the SCOTUS for that?

I’d agree with that.
The only thing OR has over CA is you don’t have to own a Ferrari to get a date in OR.

As long as your car isn’t up on blocks, you are in the running.
