Zeitgeist is not an unfamiliar word for WFTD fans. It is one, however, that may be difficult to apply to our current epoch. How do you interpret the Zeitgeist of the current era?

It is a word I have seen quite a bit but never really understood. Never made an effort too either because it was not something I needed to use at the time.
I am still not sure I do.
I did notice the reference to the age of Pericles which was the apex of Greek culture. His funeral oration for Athenian soldiers killed in a battle as told by Thucydides is considered the greatest oration ever and I agree. I do wonder if Thucydides added anything in his retelling, Maybe not.

I teach my students that to understand a work of art you have to know the artist, and you have to know the zeitgeist.
Mrs. C once made a T-shirt for me that read, “It’s a zeitgeist thing, you wouldn’t understand.” Started a few conversations with strangers wearing that one.

In philosophy class I always called zeitgeist as the “Earth-Ghost” but the professors didn`t like it.

Due to the evil Zeitgeist of Liberalism, it seems NOT OK to portray one president as a rodeo clown, but perfectly OK to portray another with a severed head.

For Muslims, there’s only one Zeitgeist
Revering Muhammad, deny Christ
For “infidels”—death
They will steal your last breath
Defiling your corpse ‘til you’re sliced, diced

Kathy never thought shed pay a price
For taking a big bloody slice
