Kathy Griffin got lucky when she landed a small part on the old Seinfeld sitcom and it turned into a theme that ran for several episodes. It was a nonsense story line about a talentless stand up comic (her) that made a buzz by doing a show about nothing more than knocking Seinfeld.
She used that theme to make a career when she realized liberals would love the nastiness if she turned it on conservatives and Christians.
