An interesting look at the reactions of wild animals in the African jungle when they see themselves in a mirror for the first time. This creative video was filmed by French photographer Xavier Hubert Brierre who traveled with his wife to Gabon to film these animals reactions to their reflections. He set up a mirror in various locations and was able to film gorillas, leopards, and other animals as they tried to decifer what they were seeing in the mirror.

Song sparrow in the yard spends a lot of time attacking mirrors on cars.
Great article. Thanks;)
Wild animals are very conscious of risks to their lives and their offspring - intuitive.
We humans are losing many of our ‘natural’ instincts, while creatures in captivity still maintain many of theirs.
Dependency is a robber!!!!
That Baboon was kinda like “WTH?!”
You guys saw animals? All I saw was SPAM.
I have a family of ‘birders’. Seems to be in the genes. My mother could identify the nests, eggs and songs of wild birds.
Adult kids fill multiple bird feeders almost every day. I hope they are not punching out the neighbors’ car mirrors. LOL!!
Like a pack of dummocrats.
And the elephant couldn't give a flip. Too smart to fall for that gag.
Gorillas were the dumbest. Chimps were the smartest. Leopards were the bravest. Bird can be excused due to speed on approach. Elephant didn’t give a covfefe.
very good;)
That post is worth reading through all the covfefe on this thread.
I try to get then nieces and nephew into birds. Showed the nephew a feather once...he was 18.... and asked what kind of feather it was. “Bird,” was the answer I got.
