LeBron James and the Cavaliers are on the brink of being swept in the NBA Finals against the Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-113 on Wednesday to take a 3-0 stranglehold on the NBA Finals and move to within one game of an unprecedented perfect run through the playoffs. With their 15th straight win, the Warriors have the longest postseason streak for any team in the four major professional sports.

I despise Golden State. I will never forget that one bully kicking someone in the privates during a playoff game.
Haven’t watched a moment of NBA all season but have been in tune with the playoffs and finally watched parts of the finals. That was a gut wrenching loss for Cleveland last night. Felt for Lebron in the final moments.
We Warrior fans endured decades of mediocrity, so pardon us as we revel in our favorite team riding the tide of NBA dominance.
GO DUBS!!!
I channel surfed through the game last night and it was something like 46-45. GS got a three and then the Cavs got a two. After that I surfed onwards.
actually a very entertaining game last night - way more fun to watch than some of the defensive scrums we saw 10 - 15 years ago. Cleveland brought some serious firepower last night...I just think they need more firepower in a coach
so the coach LeBron bullied into a job isn’t doing what he should?
I have sixty years as a player, coach and teacher of basketball to base my opinion on; so here it is.
The Cavs even with James are NOT a better team and that was the case last year. They ONLY won last year because Draymond Green acted like a moron and threw the series away.
This year is the beginning of the end for the Cavs as it should be.
This said, politically there is much to hate about the Warriors: Kerr is a leftist scumbag Kerry can be a stupid little turd who you just KNOW would be a snowflake if he was still in college and worst of all they are Plastic Face’s home team. But basketball wise they are a great team that may be the most winning team of all time. If you don’t like their style that’s your problem but they are great and fun to watch.
Playoffs drag on for months and each team plays a zillion games. Seems half the season is playoffs.
The only question remaining is will Hugh Hewlit commit suicide on air tomorrow when the Cavs lose?
I don't care how good you are, I'm NOT watching a team who has the kind of anti-American animus they do. The coach is an asshole, and not one player has rebuked him. Promising not to go to the White House as they did (along with Sir James) has made me not watch one game this year.
Screw them.
I’m with you on your comments. Just wish Curry could learn the maturity of Jordan.
When did the “Finals” start? Damn.
Who is this Kerry of whom you speak? Does it hang around political circles?
I was reading a Sports Ill. article yesterday that explained GSW stands to lose 22 million in ticket sales and other revenue if they sweep.
And that’s not to mention what the NBA will lose in advertising. Millions more.
Watch and see if the series doesn’t go 6 games.
I'm hoping for a sweep, if only to cost the NBA and its advertisers some money.
There's not enough elite talent to form more than four "superteams" consisting of 3+ All Stars on a team. For the remaining 26 teams, they're now fodder, without a chance to seriously compete for a title.
Fans in Dallas have gotten wise: although they still sell out the arena for every game, thousands of empty seats are obvious to the eye. The only reason why they sold out their final home game was the publicity stunt with Tony Romo.
NBA has some serious problems ahead of them. I hope I'm around when the current TV contract expires. I don't expect ESPN and TNT to overpay again, not when the superteams are "resting" their best players during nationally televised, heavily promoted, matchups.
If I'm a GM of one of those 26 teams, my goal is two-fold: try to limp into the playoffs, while maximizing the bottom line. $20-$25 million a year for journeyman players? No way in hell.
An unheralded play: Curry managed to get a hand in front of Korver who then missed a 3 at 0:53 left, just before Durant's closer.
Should the Warriors win tomorrow night, where do the Cavs go? I don't think the owner will want to shell out another $50 million in luxury tax to placate LeBron.
You just gave me a really good reason to get up early tomorrow. His superteam is being skunked by another superteam.
Who cares?
