How I wish I could share this thread with my Mom. No Internetz in her retirement, tho she likely won’t even miss it till wintertime.
As for Gavel’s predicament, it happens to humans as well. A Marine friend of mine went for training to become an embassy guard. He was an excellent human being and Marine; however he flunked training because he was deemed not aggressive enough. Really was a sweet guy. We’ve lost touch - wherever you are Mark, I hope all in your life is as wonderful as you are!

We had a neighbor who was a police officer. He was trying to make his German Shepherd more aggressive so he could use it for his police work. The dog turned on him and bit him. My dad offered to take the dog and it was a great companion. It just didn’t like being kicked and beaten.
