My stepfather had a homemade wood chipper, right by his back gate. I still get the willies just thinking about it!

After that Fargo movie, I can’t bear the thought. I hate to drive by the tree trimming trucks, where they just chuck the big stuff in, and it comes out in little bitty pieces of Chuck.

I always thought that selling was strange, because GE credit was a cashflow type business. I liked the Jack Welch philosophy of being the best or acquiring the best in any given “field.” I never had to deal with GE credit, but I had friends that did, and it was brutal. And reading some of the reviews by people having difficulties with it made me sure to steer clear.

I think it made sense for them to move away, because of the phasing out of appliances, light bulbs, etc, and going into the big ticket markets.

I’m not a business type, nor a big investor type. I am a voracious reader, and I’ve been around long enough to actually see trends come and go, and wonder how all the pieces fit together.

#21 or little pieces of Mazey...
He is a stepfather which like stepmothers are evil.....
Be nice to him and never be alone with him, always have a group of teenagers with you. If they start disappearing one by one then RUN! to Crystal Lake, a safe place in the woods.

You are right! Hopefully the tide will turn. I’m old enough to remember when America and Big Business were not dirty words. When I grow faint at political news, I will go listen to classic old time radio shows. It cheers me up, and gives me hope.

And then along came Trump. What a train ride! Like an old time cartoon, isn’t it?

10 thousand people will be fired to pay for his golden parachute.

Ah, yes. Jack Welch's "We didn't give them lifetime employment, we gave them lifetime employability." (If you like your job, you can keep your job.) I think he was the one who divorced his wife in favor of the female editor of Harvard Business Review sent to interview him, right? He started the CEO-as-god frenzy.

And he was the one with McKinsey consulting that started the rightsizing-offshoring lemming craze.

I believe the letters "GE" stand for "Greedy Executives."

Yeah, Obama had to keep shaking him off his leg and pulling his tongue out of his ear.
