Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) says President Trump is likely to win reelection in 2020 because Democrats will be hamstrung by the deep fissures between the liberal and moderate wings of the party.
Speaking Tuesday night before Republican Karen Handel claimed victory over Democrat John Ossoff in a special House election in Georgia, Bloomberg stood by his previous statement that Trump has a “55 percent” chance of winning reelection.
“The incumbent always has an advantage,” Bloomberg told CNN.
“And the Democratic Party is going to be torn apart by the left and the centralists,” he continued. “Now, the Republican Party is also being torn apart between the centralists and the hard right, but they've rented a candidate. The candidate has rented a party, and they will probably without much fuss get behind Donald Trump, I would assume, assuming he runs for reelection.”
Democrats are struggling to turn the energy from the their grassroots base into electoral victories. Many in the media cast Tuesday night’s special election in Georgia as a referendum on the Trump presidency. The GOP candidate triumphed in what ended up being the most expensive House race in history.
Republicans have now won all four special House elections held this year, although these are not always a harbinger of things to come. Democrats are hopeful 2018 will be kinder to them, as the party in power typically loses seats in midterm election
The Democratic Party will likely split into a new centrist party and a new far-Left Progressive party. It’s like the Whigs falling apart in the 1850’s.
What moderate or centrist wing?

The RATS thought they could keep the scam going but the election of President Trump has exposed the scam to all to see. These statements assume that the investigations continue and that those criminals in the gubermint who are committing fraud to hide the truth are also arrested and prosecuted. Draining the swamp is a serious understatement of the corruption in the gubermint.
Not a big fan of this guy but I think he’s spot-on right here. The Dems are being held together with dental floss known as their collective, irrational hatred of the president. This is not only a confederation of dunces but it’s a tenuous one at that. I hope this latest “moral victory” of their starts the internecine war among the different factions for the agenda-setting rights of this party. We should just stay out of their way and let them destroy each other.
As long as the DIMS continue to nominate a candidate that bashes the GOP voters, Trump will win.

Usually don’t pay any attention to anything “Old Man Bloomers” has to say even though I hope he is right...for a change.
A major part of the problem is that Democrats continue to try to portray their “base” as “grassroots” rather than the very organized and well financed organization that it is. And the people behind the organization are not the “little people”, rather they are the folks who will ultimately be in power.

DAILY, there are clips of SchMuckie Schumer hunched over a podium addressing an empty chamber, railing against ANY and EVERY action President Trump is taking, with absolutely NO proposed alternatives. That is what the dems call "resistance" but is pure "Deep State" at it's best and is nothing more that obstructionist. They have no ideas or solutions, and even if they do, they aren't interested in solving the problems Real Americans face.

And that, my FRiend, should be our biggest nightmare. Likely that "centrist" aspect of the democrats would merge with the RINOs to form the RinoCrats. On the basis of the numbers, they'd rule for a long time.
