For over a thousand years Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeteers, musicians and strange animals from conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conquerors rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children robed in white stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting.
― George S. Patton Jr.
I don't know if many if any will remember this. I think it was shortly after she was basking in the sunlight of thinking she "took Trump down" in her questioning of him during the first debate.
Megyn Kelly was on her Fox Show with someone, or maybe during one of the many interviews she did. She referred to some letters she received from Trump months and even a few years before. Here's what she said.
"A few years ago, I started to occasionally receive letters from Donald Trump. They were kinda creepy, congratulating me on my latest assignment or commentary on something and wishing me well etc."
Creepy? I thought to myself, creepy?
Anyone over the age of 60, or who's ever taken a How to Win Friends and Influence People course, will immediately recognize that this is a respectful act of kindness that the generation of adults in this country usually gave to one another.
I thought to myself, here is Trump, behind the scene sending a congratulatory card to a young up and coming TV person. Giving her some attention and support.
AND SHE CALLED IT CREEPY.
I knew right then and there that she was done for the long term. When she made her choice to join the voice of people mocking Trump, she had made her bed.
After that, Trump pretty much unmasked her as being someone who was not real talented, I think he referred to her as "over-rated." I think he gave her one last interview.
We now know the result. Remember the look on her face on Election Night when she realized Trump had won? Now that was creepy.
She's another anti Trump person, whom you can throw on the dung heap of mediocrity and oblivion.
HAD SHE SPOKEN HIS PRAISES, LIKE JUDGE PIRRO, OR EVEN BEEN FAIR TO HIM, SHE'D BE RIDING HIGH RIGHT NOW AND RESPECTED.
There are many lessons to be learned here. Lessons to tell your kids about changing ones colors just to receive praise, attention or fame.
The kinder generations of America's past would do this sorta thing routinely. It was the kinda thing we know people like Reagan would do also. Was Reagan creepy too, Kelly?<
Were you true to yourself, Kelly, or true to someone you wanted to become?
Let me ask you, when you got your first real job, was it creepy when your Dad sent you some flowers and a little note to tell you how proud he was of you? Or how about the cards you got from friends and relatives congratulating you on getting into Law school. Was that creepy, too?
Story after story about how unpopular Trump is, White House in chaos, RussiaRussiaRussia, Pence getting ready, etc, etc.
But there are signs, signs appearing, as Bob Dylan said, "somewhere down in the ... Yew-nited States" (Bob Dylan's Blues, 1962).
Colin Kaepernick in the NFL. Megyn Kelly at NBC. Kathy Griffin in the unemployment line.
Unlike fake polls and other fake news, these people rely on voluntary transactions by actual Americans to make their way in the world, and the world seems to be sending a message.
That anesthesiologist certainly dodged a bullet, huh?
If you sow the seeds...
Just relish the fact that NBC wasted 20mil on Me-Again.
Maybe she can join Madcow as a guest panelist.
Who knew she had 8 shows....anyone know what they were about???? Is this the bloody woman who screwed Trump during the election of 2016??
She’s an attention whore. She’ll never be able to kick back and enjoy life out of the public eye.
Good morning Nikkos. Wondered what you were up to. Now we know. Solving the world problems again. It’s a full time job!
Thanks for the cup of coffee
To borrow from President Trump’s Boy Scout speech, she lost her momentum.
Maybe that should read “UNDER RATEs Megyn Kelly....” just saying.
I never watched her show. Yup. Same one.
Says it all.
More creepy — the hateful anti-Trump FReaks HERE at this time last year who FINALLY STFU and/or left.
GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!
The song ‘Dirty Laundry’ by Don Henley came out around 1985. A song that makes fun of MSM; most of these “bubble headed bleached blonds” were children.
Good morning to my fellow deplorables. I can’t wait for the GOP and the rest of the country including the news media to fall in line behind one of the truly great Americans, Donald Trump.
If that is what you are waiting for, you are in for a long wait. In fact, I would say that Hell will be frozen over long before the alphabet news agencies, the the Old Guard Republicans, the traitors, the parasites, and the haters of America fall in behind President Trump.
While your concept is a noble endeavor, some things are simply not destined to happen. And this is one of them. President Trump is what he is and they are what they are. They are as far apart as the east is from the west and the twain shall never meet. President Trump is good, decency, and honesty. They are evil, deceit, and treachery. And never the twain shall meet.
Lost her friends.
Lost her looks.
Lost her show.
Having OCD about “getting Trump” has that effect.
A lot of that going around these days.
She kinda tried the same cr** with Putin. First, she dressed like a tramp for the first Putin interview. I'm sure Putin had something to say about her TRAMP outfit....BECAUSE for the second interview, it looked like she was waaaaay over dressed....like she might be headed to a ski lodge right after the interview. I was truly amused.
