As her mother made her long-awaited return to the spotlight by announcing her new book, Chelsea Clinton spent the weekend shying away from official business.
Instead, the mother-of-two indulged her young children with a visit to a Manhattan Lego store on Saturday.
Chelsea, 37, dressed down for the outing in jeans, a white and blue blouse and some well-worn nude wedges.
She went make-up free and added a bright orange baseball hat to her ensemble.
Clearly relishing the quality time with daughter Charlotte, two, and son Aidan, one, the former first daughter smiled widely as she made her way to the store.

She dresses like a cross between a homeless person, and a “sale day at Kmart” shopper. She lives in a 10 million Apartment, and yet looks like a slob most of the time.

The most important job she will ever have in life, no matter what political position she ever holds. Also, the best opportunity she has to escape from a dysfunctional family and come out healthy.
Why does anyone care what Webb Hubbell’s daughter is doing?
White guilt. She never earned a penny in her life so dressing down makes her feel like she’s “down” with the commoners.

Many of the very rich dress that way——they are trying to be “down with the people”-———as long as they don’t have to live near them.

I don’t have much use for her politically but for goodness sake, she threw on a ball cap in a pair of jeans to take her kids out and didn’t do makeup, it’s not as if she can escape the flippin cameras so this was not a staged photo op. I’d imagine you get to the point where you either just do what you want to do and cameras be damned, get all OCD and don’t emerge without looking absolutely perfect, or stop coming outside at all.
Webb Hubbell would be proud - his daughter is the ultimate personification of white privilege.
