Keeping the maid out is easy..Just hang a DO NOT DISTURB sign outside door. We do it because the dog travels with us, and we leave him in hotel room when going out for food. The dog could be aggressive with a stranger (the maid).

That’s easy. When I stay in hotels I put the do-not-disturb sign on my door, and they don’t bother the room.
