My son did a paper on what the world would be like if Hitler had been accepted by the art school that he applied to.

I had great fun with that. I suggested that he title it “Meine Art!”. Hitler takes over the world through art.

I don't know why, but it immediately brought this comparison to mind

Hitler was actually a very good painter.

I wish he had been a great painter and very commercially and socially accepted. He probably would have turned out better.

I think from time to time...

That if Hitler could have painted hands and the Vienna School of Arts had accepted him as a student...

...

If it weren’t for WWI Hitler probably would have led a dull and law abiding life. I don’t think he ever killed anyone directly and he was a messenger while in the military.

Hitler’s art tome would be entitled “Mein Kunst”.

“Meine Art” means my custom, my style. Could still work.

I write some. Haven’t been paid for it in a while, though. LOL
‘ I swan’ is an american idiom for ‘I swear.’
Is ‘I ‘swain’ similar?

Flathead or phillips?
It had been loaned by a private collector to the Museum of Salo, on the shores of Lake Garda, for an exhibition called the "Museum of Madness" earlier this year. The exhibition's curator, Vittorio Sgarbi, hasn't changed his view on the Hitler painting, calling it "a piece of crap", and has defended its part in the show.
Thanks nickcarraway. If memory serves, the author of "The Psychopathic God" noted that Hitler's favorite artist was Franz Von Stuck; A's reaction upon seeing von Stuck's "Medusa" was to exclaim, those eyes, my God, those are the eyes of my mother. That particular example was illustrated, showing the painting next to a photo of Klara, and the impression is unforgettable. Also per the author, von Stuck's "The Wild Chase" shows the forbidding adult-sized male character wearing Hitler's hairstyle, trademark mustache, and the red cape he sported at the Nuremberg rallies -- and the painting was done the year of Hitler's birth.
