People who don’t have faith in God or the future are removing themselves from the gene pool. There are some things the political class could do to increase the birth rate, but they don’t want to and it wouldn’t have a huge impact anyway. Ultimately faith seems to be the determining factor as to whether people have the larger families necessary to preserve population. The Mormons, Old Order Mennonites, some Evangelicals, some Catholics and of course muslims will be here in 100 years as a result.
If you walk away from politics and simply look at birth trends you can see that traditional families and religions and culture will likely be just fine.

Interesting, in reading through the responses on this thread, I see minimal to no mention of men in this equation...
Yet there have been numerous threads here on Free Republic with Freeper men espousing the “Men Going Their Own Way” movement and being happy and proud not to get married and have families.
Of course, they blame women and feminism for poor relationships, etc. However, I suspect women who are not married would have a completely different take on the subject. I seem to recall women on these threads stating they could not find good men, etc.
Major miscommunication on this subject between the sexes IMHO.
