Tom Brady Apologizes to Josh McDaniels for Sideline Rant

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady opened his Saturday news conference by apologizing for lashing out at offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels on the sideline last Sunday, saying it had been bothering him all week.

"I want to apologize to Josh for last week in Buffalo. I know our coaches work really hard, and they are responsible for putting us in a great position to succeed. I just want to get that off my chest," Brady said in opening remarks, before he answered any questions.

When Brady was asked if those types of outbursts were part of the emotion of football, he replied, "Yeah, but a lot of people see it and they think the nature of our relationship might be something like that, but it's really the exact opposite of that. I've been feeling bad all week and haven't had a chance to say it. He knows how much I love him."

Gee, sounds like the whole team is Working The Steps.

Which is probably a good thing.

Brady is a class act... Ranting at his coaches is not typical, but Josh basically told him he screwed up and missed throwing to an open receiver, which is also not typical of Brady.

Another player noted that if he’d been caught on camera yelling at an assistant coach like that on the sideline, he’d have been crucified in the media. He’s not wrong - Brady has his own set of rules in the media.

He’s earned it.

"He’s earned it."

I agree.

Much as I hate the Patriots, Brady is a machine.

He consistently produces.

Nobody is harder on Tom Brady than Tom Brady.

If he yelled at the offensive coordinator, I bet you there was a damn good reason for it.

I only wish SOMEONE would give the offensive coordinator of the Seahawks a swift kick in the a$$.

How that guy still has a job is a mystery.

His incompetence is going to get Russell Wilson badly injured.

FGS, make your o-line STOP false starting, and protect the QB.

You have ONE job. Do it, or get out.
