A 3-year-old Phoenix girl who had been fighting for her life has died and police say her mother’s boyfriend is to blame because he got “frustrated” with the toddler.
Officers arrested Sidney Michael Landers, 33, on suspicion of child abuse Monday morning. That charge will likely change now that the little girl has died. According to Landers’ court paperwork, doctors at Phoenix Children’s Hospital told police the child was on life support and her prognosis was not good.
According to the toddler’s mother, Landers was out and about with the girl “for the majority of the day” Sunday.
When he and the girl arrived home, the mother noticed her daughter had some swelling near her mouth and cheek that had not been there earlier in the day.
“When the defendant was questioned about the injury he did not provide a reasonable explanation,” according to the probable cause for arrest statement.
The mom took her little girl to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The staff found “multiple bruises on the front and back of her torso” and “multiple broken ribs.”
According to court documents, Landers told police he was “frustrated” because the child “had several accidents in her pants and would not sit still when he cleaned her.”

Mom’s boyfriend = the biggest danger a child in this country can face.
How many thousands of children in this country have been sacrificed to “momma’s boyfriend”? If not outright murder, it’s disability or molestation. Time after time.

Most three year olds are either toilet trained or are wearing pull ups not diapers.
I could almost post a story every day.
Or at least every week.
Was thinking the same thing. If a child is not toilet trained by three that is laziness by the parent or the child is either slow or is having physical or mental problems. In this child’s case? Both. Mom was lazy and boyfriend possibly molesting her.
The most dangerous place in the world for a child is in the home of a single mother. Stats prove it.
Mama can’t go through a night without something between her legs and she takes in the scummiest things that come along.
Get me a rope and the BF will never do anything like that again...or do anything again.
Dare I say it? Probably scum that knocked her up three years ago? Where is the father of that child? He’s gone, moved on. More than likely didn’t want to be a father, was just a one night stand.
This kid never had a chance as she had no mother and father in her life.
Stop paying women for having illegitimate children and problems like this will go away rather quickly.

Why should a man invest time, effort, and money in raising another man’s DNA?
As awful as this sounds, the baby is better off now. She is in the presence of the Lord where no one will hurt her again. With a mother more devoted to her love life that she picks up scum that kills children, what chance at a decent life did this kid have? And where is the real father in all this?
I don’t care who this offends, I hope he has a very short, painful life in prison.
