Vanity - Iran People rise in revolt against their government...Why? Trump is POTUS!!!

Posted on 12/30/2017 9:32:34 AM PST by JLAGRAYFOX

The good folks in Iran rise in revolt against their radical Muslim leaders, just as they did in 2009 when Obama became POTUS. In 2009, they quickly found out no help was coming from POTUS, Obama...he was one and the same in lock-step with their tyrant, despot, dictator leadership.

But...there is a new sheriff heading the USA these days, POTUS, Donald J. Trump. Different guy, different day, different game. Beware Iran, North Korea, Venezuela & Cuba, Russia, PRC. There is no sweetness coming from DJT, as was the case with your lock stepper, Barack Hussein Obama who hates the USA worse then you do.

The people of Iran sense whiffs of freedom and choice are in the world air these days...with more coming!!! Folks, stay tuned.

If they’re willing to start hanging the mullahs and their crazy fanatic army, then we should be publicly declaring support for them.

It’s time to start reversing Obama’s “moslem spring”.

The people there are definitely ready and desirous of change and it would be great if we could help them but at what cost to us with the unknowns about Iran’s capabilities? Not just only to us but their nearest enemy, Israel. The Iranians would live western style lives just as they did before 1979 if they were allowed. You think we should send Jimmy Carter over on a fact finding trip? Well, it would be one way to be rid of him maybe! We could send a few other former presidents with him and we could even hustle up some former secretaries of state!!!!

Yes, you are right to connect this to Trump.

The PERSIANS sought liberation when Obama was elected (O-ba-ma means “he is with us” in Farsi, but BH0 was AGAINST the Persians).

If they're smart they won't for doing so would result in Tienanmen Square 2.0

The smart Iranians, the ones who aren't completely 9th Century knuckledraggers, left Iran years ago.

We need to offer support to the Iranian people. They are mostly “Persians” that have history that goes back at least six or seven thousand years...one that has yielded much benefit to the entire world in history, innovations and progress for all mankind. The Muslim “Obamabot” despots have destroyed the greatness & fine culture, that once was the Persian Empire.

Obama was on his way to do exactly the same thing to the American Republic!!!

Is it wholly due to “the Trump effect?” No, I am sure there are many political and economic triggers within Iran. Iran is a country being slowly destroyed by its Mullahs. Its birth rate has collapsed, and it has the highest drug use and rates of VD among most nations. The country has been on slow simmer for a long time.

BUT - those who do not travel simply do not know how the rest of the world looks to the USA for leadership, and as an example. Even simple words of support for Iranians who want change will be more powerful than bombs. Obama had the opportunity in 2009, and the man-child once again, blew it.

Trump at the UN speaking about Iran last September:

Iranians listened.

What scares me though, is that we may be in with the Saudis on this.

And what did we promise the Saudis in return for their cooperation?

Never a good idea to get into an intra-Muslim quarrel.

I am following the Iran protests on Twitter. There is a virtual blackout in the U.S. media about this event. Why? I think because the uprising reflects poorly on the Obama Administration and if it is successful, it will be seen as a Trump triumph.

The U.S. media actually wants the uprising to fail so that Trump does not look good!

Trump? Sorry, but no. I don’t give Trump credit for this one... at least, not for starting it. I do give him great credit for his responses thus far.

Iran is in a hot-war with Saudi Arabia that is getting worse almost every day. The people of Iran dis-like their government, immensely. Most of them understand that it is their government that keeps them from prosperity and from being an engaged member of the western world. It’s always been only a matter of time before they revolted against the Mullah’s.

I believe, it is the imminent threat of horrifying war with the Saudis that has convinced them that NOW is the time.

Excuse my ignorance on the topic, but could Saudi Arabia be able to do much to Iran without our direct help? I know they have fairly good aircraft, but couldn’t Iran pretty much roll over SA with massive numbers of troops?

If they went to an all-out war, directly against one another... I think Iran would win. Just based on raw numbers and KSA’s economic dependence on oil production. But, KSA has BILLIONS of dollars in weapons that could wreck havoc on Iran. Their air power is far superior. They could launch a bombing campaign that would make life pretty miserable.

The key is: Saudi’s new boy-King. Thus far, he’s shown an inclination toward a much harder line. He seems to want to test all his billion dollar toys. And, MAYBE... he already has assurances from Trump that, if a war breaks out, he’ll get US support. That’s my belief.

Iran is the source of MOST of the current strife in the ME. We’d love a chance to take them out, but don’t want to start or lead any war with them.

Iran held Iraq to a stalemate, basically by throwing millions armed with not much more than sticks against them.

This is happening just months after PDJT gave his U.N. speech that called out the oppressive Iranian regime. He told the Iranian people they could return to prosperity, called out the dictators.

Trump caused this. They wanted to do this in 2009 after Obama was elected, but of course they soon realized he would do nothing....worse, work WITH the regime. Now they see the lion that would support them.

That may be all true but but having Trump in the White House played a role in that realization. That’s all the credit Trump needs.

I believe you’re forgetting PDJT’s U.N. speech, he specifically reached out to the Iranian people - go back and listen. If anyone in Iran was listening they would seize this time - they were hoping for change when Obama was elected. I think this is specifically because of what Trump has said and done.

People dont remember that before the Islamic Revolution in the 70’s Iran was a prosperous and secular country allied with the US. We need to do what we can to get rid of the mullahs and return them to that condition. Ob@stard had a chance but chose to back the mullahs.
