The 5 craziest things we learned about the universe in 2017
NY Post ^ | Dec 31, 2017 | Lauren Tousignant

In the search for answers, the universe usually only gives us more questions.

And those questions are becoming as infinite as the cosmos themselves.

From Mars’ magnetic tail to inexplicable booms heard around the world to mounting evidence that a “Planet Nine” exists,, these stories prove that the more we learn about the universe, the less we know.

No mention of the biggest news of all, the detection of gravity waves from colliding neutron stars.

Traveling through the universe on planet Earth may cause both velocity and time to be null and void of universe constants.

The best part is that, by comparing the light passage time of this collision and the gravity waves detected, the effect of gravity moves at almost light speeds. It's the first time we've been able to actually measure the speed of gravity attraction.

1. The most insane asteroid ever seen

they found a second one with the same shape transiting the constellation of Orion.

2. The chunks of a dead planet orbiting Mars

3. The huge planetary egg with a ring floating around it

2. Gives credence to the exploding planet hypothesis - one side of Mars, like the Moon, is heavily cratered, the other not. (The latest Mars Rover targets the boundary between the two geologies).

3. Ignores the hexagonal moon of Saturn, Iapetus, with a 12 mile high mountain ridge exactly on the equator completely encircling the moon.

5. The fact that the universe shouldn’t even exist

Because "scientists" could not possibly accept "In the beginning GOD created..."

gravity moves at almost light speeds...

Another interesting result was the lack of neutrinos detected. There was a paper written that had hordes of authors that said they found nothing. I figure it's just a result of the distance involved. The 1987 supernova at 168,000 light years produced a grand total of 25 . At 130 million light years that would lessen the amount detectable by 600 thousand times. The neutron star merger would have had to generate a lot more neutrinos to even get one event to show up here.

Since there is no proof of such, it’s permissible to look elsewhere for explanations. Think of it as “scientific liberty.”
