France's most revered actress Catherine Deneuve hit out Tuesday at a new "puritanism" sparked by sexual harassment scandals, declaring that men should be "free to hit on" women.
She was one of around 100 French women writers, performers and academics who wrote an open letter deploring the wave of "denunciations" that has followed claims that Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein raped and sexually assaulted women over decades.
They claimed that the "witch-hunt" that has followed threatens sexual freedom.

"Instead of helping women, this frenzy to send these (male chauvinist) 'pigs' to the abattoir actually helps the enemies of sexual liberty -- religious extremists and the worst sort of reactionaries," the collective of women who signed the letter said.

My brother in law worked at a high end boutique in Paris, Catherine walked in, he said she was the most beautiful woman he had ever scene, she walked straight over to him and said - where is the toilet?
They've always weaponized sex...since sex has come to the public square, so has the battle.
Or you compliment their Manolos you finally bought having saved up for them
And so forth
I compliment women almost daily
I’m a sixty year old deep south led Zep generation white Christian male
We had long hair but we had brows and chins and chest hair and fought and loved girls
If your are talking to women it’s kind to compliment them and they mind where I live
Why be ugly
Women in conversation down here tend to be empathetic if something is troubling you which is nice....my banker is a lady and I owe her bank high six figures yet if at lunch I seem upset she will be a kind ear and sympathetic and me same to her if I know about it
Both her hubby and I have similar poor hearts
It’s just the nature of interaction
I lived in Manhattan six years
Some strident women could not be reached but most would eventfully respond favorably to chivalry and compliments or mild flirting
I was in a relationship with a Columbia grad slash Barnard associate professor
She was pretty fembots st times.....she left me for a Jewish singer songwriter sensitive guy
I moved on to a Brasilian half I had two daughters with...my first wife
After about three months this lady who actually looked like Tuesday Weld meets Lindsey Vonn called me up when she. Knew I was in the city that weekend even though Miss Rio was at my Flatiron district wraparound 44 floor digs
I drive up and we met at a Piermont on the Hudson
She brought some of my last clothes after shed dumped me unceremoniously
Well she was bored with her new boy toy by then and wanted to know if I’d consider reuniting and her explanation was despite my cromagnon southern ways at least she always knew she was with a real man with no pretense
She didn’t beg...she was too proud being of Caribbean and Virginia aristocratic stock
I said no I was too far gone with a new woman at I think 28 years of age and Brazil babe was 23
Anyhow moral of story sometimes feminists have to be led to the well
And they find out they like the artesian water after all
I like the guy on the commercial, he was Skoda from Law & Order.
It's a plot by the manufacturers of male sex dolls.
Simply expanded the market beyond San Francisco males...
(Noticed an article someplace about sex dolls for women the other day. Didn't read it)
In my experience French women laugh at the concept of sexual harassment. They believe in an ongoing relationship between men and women a natural game. They also believe the woman is stronger in a relationship than men because they have power. The man is aggressive for sex and the women has the power to say yes or no. If a woman lays on the casting couch, the French say she wants to have sex. Unless she is forced physically she can always walk away.
Also it may be agreeable to be “harassed” by a handsome powerful man. But the Weinsteins and Frankens are not handsome. They are pigs.
I favor French women over most american women I have worked with. I married an mercian and Filipino because they ere strong and gave me as good as I gave them. In my sinning years, I dated a strong Hungarian and then Mexico woman and i preferred them to most any other women I met. Sexual harassment was intended to protect women from employment black mail, but it was blown out of proportion to jokes, being asked out, and casual comment. Those should;d be hanged informally and not turn the woman into helpless victim. That is the French way and other cultures also.
Jack Aubrey recounts the occasion of being addressed by Nelson while dining. On that occasion Nelson asked him to “.. kindly pass the salt”.
I equate the women on the golden globes like the football players who take a knee. They are at the top of their craft and award winners, they put themselves in place of real victims and ignore them. Brodderick Wiley etc. Where was rose mcgowan and the other real victims. The women we saw Sunday night are self-righteous phonies.
OMG! Jack Nicholson/Joker in drag!
What's the difference between telling a woman she is gorgeous and ripping her clothes off, biting her lip, forcing sex, and then telling her to "put some ice on it?"
LOL!!
Can we get a ruling on Frank Constanza’s “stop short and make a grab” move?
Assault or pick-up attempt?
Well, often the only difference is whether the woman enjoys it or not. If she does, you’re just “taking liberties”, if she doesn’t, it’s “sexual assault”.
I’m not familiar with what that is. If it’s from a TV series, I can guarantee I missed it.
Merci beaucoup!

Well, like the crooked cop said in The Godfather just before Michael came out of the bathroom and plugged him with lead.......”When you got to go you got to go”
"What are you so aggravated about?"
"He noticed!"
Johnny Carson had the hots for her.
She must be really old by now!
