That is GREAT! Plus they’ll be able to use them without calling washington first.

Less that 10% of our infantry is battle ready. only 50% of our aircraft actually fly. And we give billions to illegals and foreign governments.

And they think the M27 will replace M249 in many cases for sustained automatic fire...that remains to be seen.

Is this the same gun used in the best gun fight ever in the Move “Heat”?

SAW was...
1. not accurate enough
2. location easily detected by the enemy
3. very high consumption of ammo

When you get one, don’t take it in your boat. You could have a terrible boating accident...

I hope they shaved some weight.
Every HK I've ever handled has been heavier than hell.
What's the weight on this puppy? M4 is around 7 pounds with a full mag, I think?

Why cost of $3,000 per rifle?
$500 for direct cost to build, and $2,500 for G & A ?
To: C19fan
I have shot the 416 at a private showing. The HK rep challenged us to “break it”. We did, but I can’t say how due to a contract. I thought it was heavy and not as fast as my AR’s with a piston that sadly were lost in Lake Tahoe during an outing.
To: C19fan
Just going by the designation, it must be 6.75 times better.
To: C19fan
So, more accurate than the M4 because of the longer sight radius/barrel? Couldn’t the same be said of the M-16?
