Unless it can micro-stamp, it won’t be CA approved.

when a hacker demonstrated that he was able to bypass the security system of the gun
None of my hand guns are hackable.........nor are my rifles or shotguns.

Mine are only hackable. You have to hack my arms to get them.

Why does anyone keep fooling with this concept? If I remember correctly New Jersey has a law stating if a handgun/firearm like this is sold in the private market (I think even just one gun) then all other firearms are banned from sales in the state.
If this POS pistol sells there they will then corner the market and make a lot of money until other manufacturers catch up.

It requires batteries. Batteries die. The concept is dead.

Lol...so they are suggesting an implant so you will be the only able to fire the gun. Why not just implant the gun?And if you get a new gun you have to go to a doctor to dig out the old implant and get a new one? If you own multiple guns you need a fistful of implants?
I can just see the class action legal ads on TV for all the health complications. Lodestar better set aside a billion dollars for that up front.

Shot my .357 on Saturday.... revolvers are thing of beauty. Simple, reliable and the only time it doesn’t go bang is when #7 turns out be #1 (again). Love my semi-auto too, 17 round mag, lots of fun.
Neither require batteries, RFID chips, etc. They just do what guns are supposed to do when you need them.

if a handgun/firearm like this is sold in the private market (I think even just one gun) then all other firearms are banned from sales in the state. So you're saying if this thing goes on the market, and Bloomberg buys one, he effectively bans gun sales (except for these particular guns) in the state?
Wow.
Aren't there laws against monopolies?

If the transceiver in the gun is that low-powered, it won’t take much to jam it, either.

I have had and still do (grandchildren) have small children in my house with a bunch of “stupid” guns. Never have had any problem, ever.
I chalk that up to good parenting and training the munchkins early.

They might sell a couple....in Taxafornia. No real American would be caught dead with that pussified piece of junk.

So you're saying if this thing goes on the market, and Bloomberg buys one, he effectively bans gun sales (except for these particular guns) in the state? From what I gather from participating in many firearms threads here on FR, yes. The retails sales of "smart guns" immediately bans any more sales of real firearms.
