I signed up for disqus and all of a sudden I was getting all these hateful emails from a bunch of people I did not know. Freaked me out and I got out immediately.

Disquis has a very active SJW and Muslim contingents that actively silence Jewish voices. No doubt that is the same for conservatives and Nazarenes.

Intelligent, persuasive conservative arguments get shadow banned by many of these comment sites.

Where you shadow banned in a specific user group or from the whole site?
disqus lets moderators of each user group a lot of control. If they have a shadow ban function would be very odd.

Disqus is actually one of the better social media posting sites. I’ve never had a problem on it and I get downright offensive at times (when warranted.)

If that’s true, horrific.

I’ve been on Disqus for years and have never had a comment removed, to my knowledge, and I say some provocative things.

But I don’t go back to the site I commented on unless someone replies and I get notified.

And responses to my more egregious posts suggest I am not ‘invisible.’

It’s like walking the neighborhood, seeing and hearing other people, but not quite knowing that you’re dead.

I haven’t experienced any of the offenses listed at that site. One of the more common complaints comes from impatient posters who say their posts are being “censored” - when they are right there in plain view. All they need to do is refresh their page and they can see them.

The larger issue is that, besides Disqus, the only other player for commenting mechanisms for websites is Farcebook - something that I won’t go near.

Well you do get some hate posts back if you disagree with certain folks here. I know, I’ve been the object of some of their less-kindly replies.

I had the same hing happen to me when I first went on to some of the disqus supported sites and began making comments.

What you need to do is in the Profile tab you have to select the Privacy box. Otherwise these thugs will see EVERY post/comment you make and start attacking you. By selecting the privacy box they cannot see where and what you are posting at other sites.

Now if a I get a troll start spamming me at a specific site I just block that individual.

Just hit the “block” button and you’ll never hear from them again. There are a lot of conservatives on there and when a hate post comes along they’re all over that person. I read posts on articles from Breitbart and Newsbusters and some other sites.

I only use Disqus for Weasel Zippers and our local liberal online “newspaper” opinion page. The liberal site has banned several of my ID’s so I just come up with a new one.

I once made a strong point on Obamacare (I forget which site) and the comment disappeared from Disquis. It wasn’t even in my history. I would get something like a 404 error.
