“LOL! Kinda like the h-wood stars that spend a week disguised as homeless———”

Exactly, the folks who live behind walls-——who are dead set against THE wall.

My ex is from a very “comfortable” family.

Most dysfunctional group of people I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Most of them just bitching and waiting for Granny or Daddy to die so the money flowed down.

Kinda ironic, when Daddy-in-law died and my drunk-for-fifty-years ex finally got the inheritance she waited a lifetime for, her health took a nose dive just one month after she got the money

Money can’t buy happiness, but it certainly is a bulwark against misery.

Hey you little people, stop worrying about how we really rich folks are accumulating wealth while you scrounge out a miserable living. Wealth isn't happiness. What we have won't make you happy, so be happy and ignore our kleptocracy.

This post, this line is effing BS, and the only possible response to a 3rd generation and beyond Rockefeller is you a laughable clown. Go away. Your act isn't even funny.

Isn’t there some way we could give both the writer and the Rockefeller a wedgie?

They’re both contemptible pukes.

I am reminded of Kurt Cobain, who with 25 million in the bank blew his own head off.

Is Rockefeller running for something. This reads like an Ad for the Rockefeller family. “Like us, we are wonderful”.

People who have food and drink are happier than people who not have food and drink.

Money can buy food and drink.

Therefor money can buy happiness.

“Money buys a certain type of SECURITY...that’s it.”

You are 100% right. A friend of mine lost a daughter six months ago. The 15 year old went to bed and never woke up...massive brain bleed while she slept. Ask my friend how much money it would take to make her “happy” ever again.

Can money buy happiness? Yes it can!, even if you have a underlying mental condition like depression and/or psychosis you can pharma-up. The trick is to choose your friends wisely.

True happiness comes from a clear, concise, and quick response.

Happiness comes from believing that we are loved by a Superior Being. Some have lost that belief and are unhappy.

Money may not buy happiness but it can sure make the down payment.

I’d sure like to prove that.

Not for the Ultra Wealthy like the Rockefeller clan. But money does by power and power begets control and control is what derives their happiness.

Money doesn’t grant happiness.

But poverty makes life harder, and doesn’t grant happiness either.

Happiness is a direct result of an honest attempt to make someone else happy - I can see where money might be helpful.....

“the ABSENCE of money can cause DISSATISFACTION but the presence of money did not necessarily create satisfaction.”

I, too, have experienced both and this statement seems logical.

Having money provides options you might not have otherwise. That alleviates stress. Stress triggers unhappiness in many ways, including weakening the immune system resulting in illness.

So, money = options = happiness.

Well, again, factors that create dissatisfaction are not the same factors that create satisfaction. Money is one of them. I know that not having money can create stress and dissatisfaction. But I also know that having money does not of itself give satisfaction or happiness.

So no money = no options = dissatisfaction

whereas

money = options = not necessarily satisfied (because other things are more important contributors to being satisfied)

It’s almost like not having money is like being in a hole while having money brings you up to ground zero. But taking the flight of happiness and satisfaction requires other things.
