Cut the Crap: We Need Full Constitutional Carry, Several Dozen Insane Asylums, and a FULL BAN ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS
See this kid? Yeah, where I’m from, that’s called, “crazy as a shithouse rat”.
Here’s a nutty idea. Stay with me. How about we put the crazy people in a facility where they can receive supervision, care and treatment? We could call it… hmmm… let’s see… an “insane asylum”, or even a “mental hospital”. That is, a place where people who are insane and/or mentally ill could receive shelter and care, and at the same time the rest of society would likewise be protected from them. Because CRAZY PEOPLE CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. It would almost be like a CORPORAL WORK OF MERCY OR SOMETHING.
Just brainstorming here, kinda free-associating, what if there were religious orders that had as a charism the care of the mentally ill? Wouldn’t that be a beautiful thing? People dedicating their lives to God, the right worship of God, and as a function of their love for God, they would care for those of God’s children who are insane? Off the wall, right? I know.

You know this means quite a few women disarmed as they are the largest percentage demographic on antidepressants. I mean they are as a group, taking them like skittles.

Antidepressants dont cause this, the underlying mental illness does. More than likely if some of these shooters were on antidepressants, they should have been on something much stronger.
A full ban on antidepressants? Perhaps more closely regulating ... perhaps more selective dispensing. But a full ban?

I fully agree with this headline and what I read on this so far. Dangerous crazy needs to be locked up. And yes, all those cute little pills they ply people with changes their thinking. That is the whole idea of those pills - to change their thinking. And even their ‘disclaimers’/side effects says it could cause suicidal and homicidal tendencies. And I don’t know, maybe giving kids a methamphetamine type substance all their lives might not be such a good idea either.
Learning how to cope with diversity and challenges is part of growing up and living life in general. IF someone has a special need or short time requirement for a sedative that surely should be able to be given. But put on mind altering drugs forever can’t be healthy. But it is a good way to ensure return ‘customers’.

This ‘punishing the whole because of a few’ isn’t just bad policy and unjust. It is opportunist agenda being carried out, which I am sure most on FR know.
The 2nd Amendment doesn’t have a disclaimer or shackles on it. It says SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. It says what is says. It means what it says. It is a BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENT, Like the Honorable A. Scalia said.
If someone it too dangerous to be a free person living under our GOD GIVEN RIGHTS ‘RECOGNIZED’ by the U.S. Constitution, then they should be somewhere where they will not be a threat to anyone.
If someone can’t be trusted to not hurt any innocents, they should not be walking free and alone amongst us.
I’ve heard that as well, that it’s pretty much what happens to a cocaine addict that they get to a point where their brain produces less (or more? I forget) dopamine to tolerate the cocaine and when they get off it, they basically have zero dopamine going to the pleasure centers and they go nuts with depression and suicidal thoughts. Maybe that’s what Ann means? They stop taking these anti-depressants and just go full out suicidal?
I do agree with her though that we need to revise the mental health situation in this country. I’m reminded of the actress Amanda Bynes who has schizophrenia and was doing all kinds of destructive things and her own parents would constantly go to court to get her involuntarily committed and they kept getting denied over and over. Meanwhile their daughter was constantly getting into trouble, getting arrested - This went on for over a year I believe - and it was only after she doused a dog in gasoline and tried to burn in on this womans driveway did the judge finally grant the parents request to have her committed. The courts literally wait until someone gets killed or in this case, a dog was almost tortured to death not to mention the persons house was almost being burned down.
We can debate mental health treatments, drugs and gun restrictions at a later date, but we need school safety NOW.... let’s get willing staff members armed and employ armed guards where appropriate and take down the idiotic signs that say “gun free zone”.
