The grandson of a Nazi war criminal who appeared on the History channel on the condition of anonymity was in for an unpleasant surprise on Tuesday when his face was left uncensored for several seconds.
The man, described as an “anonymous informant,” met with the hosts of the show Hunting Hitler, and showed them what he claimed were microfilm copies of the Fuherer’s last will and testament.
While the man’s face was pixelated for most of his appearance in the show's Season 3 finale, one shot clearly revealed his identity in what appears to be an editing error.
Viewers were quick to point out the mistake and took to social media to share screenshots of the man’s face.

He’s the grandson, two generations removed and is not culpable for the war crimes. Are they expecting revenge?

Bormann had ten children with his wife, plus mistresses who may have carried other children.
And, yes, there is a facial resemblance.
This show was not done live.
Anything you see is deliberate.

That pixel looks like Hitler’s mustache.
It’s creating buzz and getting articles and viewers.

The will was deemed to be the original because it was on microfilm. It was/is an interesting series using modern tracking methods based upon tracking peripheral characters that were known Hitler associates. I’ve always wondered how someone like him that was so vainglorius would give up and commit suicide before being captured by the Soviets. It is far more likely that his death was staged and he escaped to South America where contingency plans facilitated his escape and re-establishment. The show used modern computer searches of recently declassified CIA/FBI files to provide clues and was well done. But,as with all of these shows, little real evidence was confirmed that he actually did live out his days in Paraguay.
