Well, at least he proved that even a flat earth has gravity......

If the Earth were flat then wouldn't density replace gravity?

Like you, when I came back from Japan in December of 1964, I brought back with me a "Photomic" Nikon F -- plus one of virtually every Nikon lens and accessory available for it at the time (even bellows and microscope adapters)...

Now, I have a safe full of expensive, essentially useless film gear.

Model rockets w GoPros could have done a better job. I recall one such team already documenting the curvature of Earth that way.

Wow ... that was funny, in a wile-e-coyote sort of way. Acme parachutes, no doubt.

No. But there are some flat earthers that think so. 64 pages of stupid and hilarious discussion.

I met the guy a month or so ago. Yep, he’s a bit “off”. The launch didn’t go that day due a faulty valve or something. Interesting that his ground crew use screw guns to fasten the hatch. Tough to get out of the rocket with no release. Pretty nutty if you ask me.

We did have quite a conversation with him though. He doesn’t really believe the world is flat, but I bet he believes it’s hard! By the way, he’s running for governor of California. Really. I don’t think he’s as crazy as Moonbeam.

Flat Earth Society - Air Pressure vs Gravity?

Air pressure isn't density. Air density is density.

Air - Altitude, Density and Specific Volume

You brought pressure into the conversation, not I.

If you read far enough into the topic one of the guys (sceptimatic) presents the idea of Denspres (Air Density and Pressure) as the alternative to Gravity.

From your link...

Their density overcoming the atmosphere it was placed in.
If you create, by force, a potential energy, then you know that for every action there will be an equal and opposite reaction.
Basically if you place dense matter into the atmosphere then the atmosphere will act upon it unless a force goes against it.

Oops...forgot the question asked... Sceptimatic, I was wondering if you could explain what force is causing the ball and feather in the following video to rapidly move from the top of the chamber to the bottom and then remain there?:
