Do you enjoy the comedy or the feeling of going back in time more?

Some of the public ads (1940s) from NBC radio actually ask listeners to pray for our soldiers and that they kill the enemy and win the war.
More than 80% of my entertainment is Old Time radio. I fall asleep to Old Time Radio. Another BIG reason why I listen to OTR instead of TV is that I don’t need to sit in front of the TV to watch what’s happening. Nothing to see, just listen.
If you have ROKU, there are apps that play continuous Old Time Radio shows 24/7 without the looping and includes the commercials of the time. ROKU also has apps for specific programs such as SUSPENSE 24/7, Dragnet, Gunsmoke...etc.
You must be 100 years old.
Probably sound like it at times.
A mere lad of almost 47.
I listen to a lot of OTR on the road and evenings.
I want to listen to the Art Bell shows with all of the commercials in them. I like the first half hour of the show when he reads the days news stories.
The era and the material certainly were more decent.
I enjoy both. The comedy is priceless...as you find yourself laughing at “skits” that are “free” of vulgar words, phrases, etc. Said another way...it’s “genuine” comedy.
And yes, it does take me back to when I was a kid...I’m not sure life was better....wait a minute, yes, it was better, simpler and a lot more stress free.
Thanks for asking.
