A Puppet Dinosaur Has Caused Three Members of the Air National Guard to Lose Their Posts
Three members of the Tennessee Air National Guard have been removed from their posts after a video of an oath-taking ceremony involving a puppet dinosaur went viral.
Master Sergeant Robin Brown, a public affairs officer with the Tennessee Air National Guard, took her oath of re-enlistment last week while holding up a dinosaur hand puppet. A recording of the ceremony shared on Facebook drew swift rebuke from the military community. Many perceived the stunt as disrespectful.
“I am absolutely embarrassed that a senior officer and a senior NCO took such liberties with a time-honored military tradition,” Major General Terry M. Haston, the adjutant general for the Tennessee Guard, wrote in a statement posted to the Tennessee National Guard’s official Facebook page on Wednesday.

No, it wasn’t the puppet’s fault.
It was their choices to demean the solemn swearing-in ceremony.
Not only doing it, but videotaping it and releasing it. Sounds to me like an attack on our military.
All were clueless but they’ve now been clued in and Major General Haston clued in thousands more by his action.
We don’t need children in the military. Those three would be better sticking to flipping burgers.

I've heard that expression before, but never stopped to wonder what it meant. When I was in active service (army), there was no such punishment that I was aware of. There were article 15s and court martials, but being removed from your post? Have they been kicked out of the Guard (a bit severe imo) or just been demoted and/or fined, or what?
How many dinosaur politicians have someone’s hand up their ass and moving their lips? Or are the pols lip-syncing and the puppet master is talking?
Puppet caused nothing. Puppet is an inanimate object.
Perhaps the person that posted the video felt similar to the commenters here and knew action would be taken under this administration?

That being said, it takes some guts for anyone to stay in (shotgun wedding or no), and admiration if you are a natural soldier enough to deserve staying in. They get respect.
Whatever the formal charge, my verdict is too immature for the Guard.
They were probably asked to resign from the Guard and revert to inactive status in the Army Reserve, where they are on their own to try & find a drilling reservist slot.
Anyway, very stupid Obama-era move.

stupid silly and dumb. but USA had a foreign enemy mole get in to being Commander in Chief for 8 years.. weakening and undercutting America all the while
