A new study found that 39 percent of “top-tier liberal arts colleges” in the United States don’t have any Republicans on their faculties.

The study by the National Association of Scholars also found that the Democratic-to-Republican ratio was 10.4:1 among 8,688 Ph.D.-holding professors.

The ratio is 12.7:1 when two military colleges, West Point and Annapolis, are removed from the sample. […]

“Political homogeneity is problematic because it biases research and teaching and reduces academic credibility,” the report said. …

Which explains why their degrees are worthless.

Do Republican professors come in second...or behind Green Party members?

With no conservatives or values at our universities, it’s time parents begin to Home College Educate their children.

Colleges and universities have become Marxist indoctrination centers.

This must stop. Taxpayers should not be funding communist brain washing. Cutoff the tax dollars.

Another leftist social-engineering scheme funded by massive debt and government money in our totally printed, fiat, unbacked Federal Reserve currency.

Unfortunately, that’s not an option for subjects like Chemistry, Physics, or Medicine.

It’s true and it’s more insidious than it appears. It’s not that ardent Republican activists are not getting hired, it’s nearly impossible even to be granted a PhD if you do not display the proper fealty to the leftist lares and penates.

I would wager that of the fraction who ARE Republicans, they are mostly in the sciences, where you could be a great chemist without anyone knowing what you think of capital gains taxes, or intersectionality.

But in literature? Just to be able to get through the lunatic theories that you would be required to regurgitate in papers and examinations, anyone with a basic conservative ideology’s head would explode long before he could finish a dissertation. It’s a winnowing process, where only the unbalanced are left standing.

That’s how it works, once the Left gains control, it discourages non-Leftists from even wanting to get involved, thus the takeover is complete.

Oddly, I received my degree from a liberal arts college that had no Democrat professors (Christendom College).

Years back, I was offered a tenure track position at a well rated university (in a STEM department). One of the faculty in that department was a conservative (closet, of course) and a friend. He took me aside to congratulate me but warned me that I had to put on the conservative “cloak of invisibility” if I wished to get full tenure.

Thankfully, I decided that pretending to be mind dead didn’t bring up feelings of happiness, so I declined and went into industry. Best decision ever. Much more money, products that actually worked, and work with a good many talented and productive individuals.

A second thing to note is that there may be more university conservatives there than we think since they wear the cloak. Obviously, still far fewer than reasonable, but at least there are some there. And again, methinks most are in academic departments with true standards...e.g.. STEM.

You are 100% right. When I was a grad student, my job was working on an anthropology journal as a copy-editor, and I had to sift through the data base of professors to find peer-review teams for incoming submissions. There were four categories: Marxist, Neo-Marxist, Feminist, and Neo-Feminist. I mean, there were some whose theoretical inclination space was left blank, and we’d go by region and time period of their specialty, but if they HAD an ideological framework that they dared list, it was one of those four.

“Unfortunately, that’s not an option for subjects like Chemistry, Physics, or Medicine.”

In the era of the internet, think you are underestimating the fortitude of American parents.

Parents could simply go to the internet and find the teaching materials necessary to educate their Home College children in not only in Chemistry, Physics, or Medicine, but also structural and chemical engineering, Law, Anesthesiology, and DIY coronary bypass surgery.

Or just get a "Dummies" book.
