Of course this happens in a country where illegal immigrants go to the head of the line while legal immigrants wait for years and go through mountains of paperwork. A country where academic requirements are lowered for those who can’t eat self-esteem.
It irks me that the Academy Awards used to be handed out by saying, “And the winner is...” But now they say, “The award goes to...” God forbid there be a winner.

And it’s not just the Oscars.
