FINALLY! A Feminist Cheat Sheet to Help You Avoid Sexually Objectifying Women
PJ Media ^ | June 5, 2018 | Faith Moore

Okay, so imagine you’re looking at a picture of a woman in her underwear. Now, of course, the first thing that comes into your head is: “Is this woman being sexually objectified?” Because, obviously, if she is you’re going to stop looking at her immediately. (Right?) But if, instead, the woman in the photo is being sexually empowered, then it’s your duty (as a good feminist, or feminist ally) to keep looking. Even if she’s ugly and you’re busy. But, how can you tell the difference between sexual empowerment and sexual objectification? Well, just ask your friends at Everyday Feminism!

Of course complicated and opaque.

Hm. Funny, that is absolutely something that never, ever, enters my mind first. Or ever. Maybe it is just me.

What’s the picture of and why are you wearing her underwear? Does she know?

Feminism, is to figure out who has the power. “If the person being ‘looked at,’ or sexualized, has the power in the situation, then they are sexually empowered.” Here’s an example: “if someone puts on ‘sexy’ clothing and goes out in public or takes a selfie and shares it, they have the power because they chose themselves to put on those clothes.”

Oh, okay, I get it. So, if a woman chooses to put on “sexy” clothes and go out in public then all the catcalls and inappropriate comments and unwanted marriage proposals are empowering because she chose to put on those clothes.

Actually it's hate bait, they dress like so in public (even at "comic" conventions) and then chastise you for looking or daring to take their photo without even asking.

You don't even need to make a crude comment, you've earned their scorn simply for being a man.

I like sexually objectifying women, and I like it more when they do it to me.

>>We also need to consider “sex workers” who may actually be very empowered because sex work is “so lucrative.” So having sex with someone you don’t actually want to have sex with becomes empowering if you get money for it. Got that guys? If you’re trying to get a girl to have sex with you and she says no, don’t tell her she’s beautiful or sexy or anything like that. No. That would be objectifying. Try offering her some money to have sex with you instead. Now that’s empowerment.

Do sex workers ever refuse service to a customer? Has there been a Bake The Cake discrimination lawsuit yet?

This clearly answers the age-old question of what women want.

They don’t know.

They want whatever they don’t have, and whatever you have.

Well, I've long known that feminists would find an ad like this objectionable but would have no issue with Lena Dunham talking publicly about her private parts.

Feminists proclaim that men are obligated to not offend feminists, where feminists decide what is “offensive” at whim.

I saw, “screw that”.

Usually, the first thing that comes into mind these day is, what type of underwear is she selling?
And what is the big deal about underwear? How is it different from a bikini?

If a man likes it, he's objectifying.
If a man doesn't like it, he's misogynic.

I don't suffer from objectifying women.

I enjoy every minute of it.

Perhaps its opaque, but there is a "money" paragraph near the bottom:

"We also need to consider “sex workers” who may actually be very empowered because sex work is “so lucrative.” So having sex with someone you don’t actually want to have sex with becomes empowering if you get money for it. Got that guys? If you’re trying to get a girl to have sex with you and she says no, don’t tell her she’s beautiful or sexy or anything like that. No. That would be objectifying. Try offering her some money to have sex with you instead. Now that’s empowerment."

That's some twisted pickup advice.
